Flotilla Promises To Be A Real Spectacular Reservations are coming in each day for the Flotilla scheduled for June 18. Father's Day at Wawasee Lake. Clem Lisor. chairman of reservations, said twenty pontoon boats are listed now for the water parade sponsored by the Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber of Commerce and that more reservations have been reported by the marinas where ’most of the boat owners are making preparations. There is no fee for entering a pontoon boat in the parade. «• Blanks are available from Lisor at Wawasee-Sportsman Center, at apy of the marinas around the lake, and it appears in the Journal for use by anyone wanting to enter the event-!-Boats are to report on parade day at 10 o'clock in Johnson's Bay. Bob Rule is the parade marshal and will arrange the boats so the parade can begin its tour around Wawasee Lake at 1 pm. WaWa Drive Now Open WaWa Drive In theater, located on Road 13 south of Wawasee Lake, opened Friday night for the summer season. Ladies received favors of pearl necklaces from the management. Jack Stoeiting and Leon Vance owners, have made a number of improvements in the entrance and parking area for the theater. Beginning the week end of May 26. the theater will be open nightly for the remainder of the season. South Shore Hotel Open Season Today South Shore Hotel on the South shore of Wawasee Lake opened she season Thursday with Aetna Life Insurance Company of Toledo. Ohio, coming in for a three-day convention. Jap Jones, owner, announced. Monday, a second convention will start the Indiana Casuualty Company will conduct its meetings at the hotel. Mr and Mrs. H. D. McClintic of Kalamazoo and Mr. and Mrs B J. Julier of Gary, were Sunday guests of Mrs. Lydia Deardorff and Miss Ida Deardorff.

Bluebirds Advance In Rank At Camp Fire Ceremony
Twenty-one members of the I "Singing Swallows" group progressed from the Blue Bird division into the Camp Fire division in an impressive Fly-Up ceremony’ at the Scout Cabin Friday evening. May 12. Highlight of the ceremony was the tying of red scarves, a symbol of membership into the advanced Camp Fire program. Fathers, adept in the art of tying. secured the symbolic scarves on their proud daughters. The initiates were as follows: Jana and Jeane, twin daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Adair: Cathy Ann. daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Jack P. entertained her mother and father, the Ernest Huffs, Sunday for dinner and then called on Mrs. Huff’s sons, Mark Sheline and Ward Sheline and thenfamilies in Goshen. Mr. and Mrs. James Butt, Mrs. Lucy Kegg and Mrs. Lois Schleeter were in South Bend Sunday to visit with Mr. and Mrs. George Butt. George is now at home after back surgery and six weeks in the hospital. His mother says he is making good recovery but will be at home for several weeks yet. Mrs. Ida, M.
