News of The Schools HIGH SCHOOL SYRACUSE 411 CLUB Syracuse Community Hands 4-H Club meeting was held Tuesday. May 9. in A room. President Earl Roberts presided Joe Brbwm led the pledge to the American flag and Toni Butt led the pledge to the 4-H flag. Minutes were read by Burton Butt and approved. The business qf the meeting was to see that all had paid their, dues, that all had all their record books, and to see if they wanted to add or drop a project. Mr. Edwards wanted to know if anyone would like to go Jo 4-H or Junior Leaders Camp to be held at Camp Mack. June 6 to 9. Fee will be sll for camp. Chris Bush gave a talk on Forestry. Five Senior FTA members attended the spring convention at Butler University Saturday, April 22. They were Donna Moots. Bonnie Brouwer. Lorrena Laird. Pat Hummel and Charmaine Kitson, Mr. and Mrs. Philip Fawley and Nancy accompanied them, also Mrs. Betty Kowallik. Tuesday Night Ladies Receive Final Awards The Tuesday Night Ladies Bowling League held their annual banquet Tuesday night at the Pickwick Dinner club with 34 members and guests in attendance. A delicious swiss steak and chicken dinner was served at tables decorated with imitation spring flowers in planters whi&h were later given as door prizes. Miniature bowling pins with each member s name and closing average for the season were used as place cards. Mrs. George Thornburg, president, presided during the business meeting following the dinner. Yearly reports were given and it was decided to enlarge the league next year. New officers elected were Mrs. L. C. Carpenter, president and Mrs. Max Ganshom, vice presi-

Mrs. Jack Schacht was acting treasurer for several months due to illness of the regular treasurer. Prizes monies, trophies and pins were distributed. Door prizes were won by Mrs. Rolland Wogoman. Mrs. Louis Byland and Mrs. Schacht.
