May 6. by Miss Susan Ann Morganthaler and Jacob E Kern. 111. at 1130 o’clock in a lovely setting at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs Joseph C Morganthaler Sr. The Rev Carl Sorenson performed the double ring ceremony in the presence of the immediate families and close relatives. Green smilax. bronze mums and fern balls decorated the home .. organ prelude of “Oh. Promise Me' - and "I Love You Truly ” followed by-the traditional wedding Bums Van Sickle played an organ prelude of “Oh. Promise Me’’ and I Love You Truly” followed by the traditional wedding march. Given in marriage by her father. the bride wore a gown of white chantilly lace over satin fashioned with fitted bodice featuring a portrait necklineoutlined with lace scallops and long sleeves whigh came to points on the hands. The full lace skirt was enhanced by a front panel of tiers of nylon tulle. A fingertip veil of imported illusion was caught to a pearl embroidered cap Her bouquet was a cascade of white orchids and white carnations. Mr- Joseph C. Morganthaler Jr., attended the bride as matron of honor. She was dressed in ballerina length gown of capusine silk organza with matching accessories Mr. and Mrs. Jacob E. Kern Jr., of RR 1. are the parents of the groom. His best man was Frederick Avery of Syracuse.Tile bride’s mother was dressed in a navy silk street lengthen-

Both wore gardenia corsages. ‘ A reception followed at the Pickwick Dinner Club in Syracuse for 250 guests. Yellow and white chrysanthemums decoratde the tables. A 3-tiered wedding cake graced the bride’s table. . Miss Carol Cramer of Fort Wayne. Miss Sue Ann Juday and Miss Judy Kern assisted with serving. Myers Ford Agency in Milford. Calvary EUB Guild Twenty-three members of the Christian Service Guild'of Calvary E.U.B Church met Wednes day. April 26. in the home of Mrs. Garth Haines with Mrs Charles Disher as co-hostess. There were two guests. Mrs. Cloy Eiler and Nancy Connor. Mrs. Ted Pauls gave the lesson using the theme “Into All the World Together.’’ She was assisted by Mrs. Arlen Bobeck, Mrs. Larry Mock. Mrs. Harry Appenzellar. Mrs. Kennard Robinson and Mrs. Muriel Sharp. The group sang, “From Greenland’s Icy Mountains” and Mrs. Raymond Newcomer offered prayer, Mrs. R. C Tytler. president, conducted the business session. Refreshments were served during the social hour. The next meeting will be held May 31 in the home of Mrs. Feri Rhoades.

Syracuse Garden Club The Syracuse-Wawasee Garden Club met at the home of Irene Abts Tuesday evening. Mrs. Herschel Leatherman presented the first lesson in a course of studs - on flower arranging taken from the Rockwell's New Book of Flower Arranging. The lesson was on containers, bases, backgrounds, accessories and equipment. All types were discus, sed with their relationship to the home decorating scheme and furnishings, also suitability to the type of flowers used. Five basic containers were illustrated with flower arrangements suuit-able for the containers. Each member brought an ar. rangement of early spring flowers for observation and discussion.
