The Huitema family formerly resided here. Mr. and Mrs.. Orval Lockwood and Mr. and Mrs. Ora Miller recently- called on Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Dresser. Mr.. Dresser is convalescing at his home from recent surgery at the Elkhart ' Hospital. Mrs. Cloy Eller has returned to her hpme after spending several weeks in the home of her son and family. Rev. and Mrs. David Eller and Ricky jn South Bind. Mr. and Mrs Don Mishler were Friday evening supper guests of Mr., and Mrs. John Darr. Mrs. Stoner was the former Fern Rogers and both of the newly-weds were former residents of the Solomon Creek community. COMMUNITY NEWS Wawasee Lake East End Mr. and Mrs. Pete Hilburt are home from Eustis. Florida, for the summer at Johnson s Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. “Frosty" Galloway returned last week from the winter in Flroida. Bob Williams planned a surprise party dinner party at the Guide April 4 for his family. Miss Vona Schacht was a guest. The occasion was in celebration of the Williams’ 40th wedding anniversary. Charles Johnson. U. S. Navy, is home for a month from Kingsville. Texas, to visit his family. Mr. and-Mrs. Charles Johnson. Papakeechie Lake. He is in airplane maintenance and has reenhsted for six more years. After his leave he will be sent to Memphis, Tennessee for more schooling and then report for overseas duty. Saturday attending the science fair. Mr. and Mrs. Don Smith and children. Greg and Susie attend, ed a naming ceremony of a U. S. Army Reserve Training Center in Terre Haute Sunday. The center is-,named in honor of Lt. Robert Mosele who was killed in action in the Philippines during World War H and posthumously awarded the Silver Star.. He was a brother-in-law of Mrs. Smith. His. widow and daughter flew from California for the occasion. Mrs, Smith assisted at a reception following the program. The Scott Snyders and John Conveys of Indianapolis spent the week end at their cottages on Wawasee Lake.

Noble Blocker returned to his post at the State Bank Monday after a two weeks' vacation. Mr. and Mrs. John Kroh and two sons left Sunday for Jacksonville, Florida, for a visit with her parents.
