The latest in kitchen planning and appliances were shown. The newest appliance that intrigued the class the most was the electronic oven. Mrs. Clemens demonstrated the use of it by serving h»rs d’ oeuvres, the required 30 seconds to bake', and cake, which took two minutes to bake. The pans which were used and the oven were not hot to the touch. It was interesting to watch the cake rise. Child Pedestrian And Bike Safety Don’t get carried away by your enthusiasm for Spring, warns the Indiana Traffic Safety Foundation. Warming weather will bring tremendous increases in activity on and about streets and highways. Not only will motor vehicle travel pick up. but youngsters will be spending more time out of doors at play and on bikes. Traffic safety officials and safety organizations will stress ‘Child Pedestrian and Bike Safety" during April and throughout the spring and summer months ahead. An urgent appeal is made to motorists and parents to join with traffic law enforcement agencies in providing the fullest protection for our children and highway users in general. ‘Child Pedestrian and Bike Safety" depends on two things, says the Indiana Traffic Safety Foundation, a youngster well grounded in safe walking and bicycling skills and a considerate driyer- who will give him a “brake.” . .
