Go Getters H.D. Club Mrs. Maurice Crow was hostess ‘ to the Syracuse Go Getters Club at her home last week with Mrs. Ivy Detwiler, president, presiding. This was the last regular meeting of the club which will disband after the Christmas party. Opening song was “America the Beautiful" followed by the pledge to the flag. The song of the month. "O. God. Our Help In Ages Past." was read for meditation. Mrs. Robert Hoover gave | the lesson on effective speaking. | Plans were made for the Christmas dinner party which will be held December 6 at Ho ward's. Mrs. Ray Burkett of Elkhart was a guest Monday afternoon of Mrs. Ed Schleeter.

COMMUNITY NEWS • LIGONIER. Ind. — Mr. and Mrs. Glenn OU and family of Fort Wayne, and Mrs. Thomas Speaker and daughter were Sunday afternoon callers of Mr. and Mrs. Forrest OU. From there the group visited the Jesse Botts I family of Millersburg whose daughter, Mrs. Eugene Brown, was at home. Mrs. Speaker entertained the group for supper at her home. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Byron Speicher I and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Ott. i Mrs. S. P. O'Reilly of Fort Wayne was a week end guest in the home of her daughter and son in-law. Rev. and Mrs. J. A. SOLOMON CREEK Th Youth Fellowship met at the Church Sunday evening with Mrs. Gladys Zimmerman as their leader. Rev. Schroeder met with the Catechism class Sunday evening at the church before the evening worship sendee. The adult Bible study class met in the church basement Sunday evening before the worship service. Dr. Zimmerman gave the lesson about Peter. WSWS wUI meet at the church parsonage Wednesday evening with Mrs. Schroeder. Mrs. Dick Longcor will have the lesson. Class Dinner Party Class no. 5 had a turkey dinner in the church basement Sunday after meeting was held and the remainder of the time was spent socially. School Menu for Week Monday: State Fair hot dogs, baked beans, potato chips, fruit and milk. Tuesday: Roast pork and noodles, buttered peas. _sliced peaches, cookies bread and butter milk.
