PINK and BLUE SHOWER Mrs. John Runge and Mrs. John Zimmerman entertained at a pink and blue shower Monday evening for Mrs. L. Gene Storms. Manj’ lovely gifts were presented the guest of honor. Storks and booties were used m clever arrangements for the table decorations and refreshments that concluded the eves ning.

Senior Mothers Club • Mrs. Leonard Barnhart enter-' tained the Senior Mothers Club at her home Monday evening. Fourteen, members were present and three guests from Syracuse, i Mrs. Harold Brown. Mrs. Raymond Wilson and Mrs. Richard Rondot Mrs. Harold Schrock of Benton also was a guest and brought with her three guest performers.

Mrs. Burl Salmon, vice president. presided during the business meeting. A card was sent to Mrs. John Cripe who underwent surgery recently at the McCray Hospital in Kendallville: Mrs. Kenneth Leonhardt presented seven of her pupils in a musical program. Cindy and Tenel Pounds sang with Tenel playing the piano accompaniment. Jean Eppley. Linda Stiver and Vanloa Shrock, all of Benton, Cathy Dorsey and Belinda McNamara all played piano selections. Calvin Johnson received the sunshine gift. Demonstration and instruc tions in Christmas wrappings will be given at the next meeting November 28 at the Barnhart home with Mrs. Lowell Barnhart conducting the lesson. COMMUNITY NEWS SOLOMON CREEK. Ind—Miss Judy Mishler has accepted a position with The Salem Bank and Trust Company in Goshen. Rev. and Mrs. John Schroeder called on Mrs. Walter Hoshaw Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Wogoman and David spent Sunday and Monday in Muncie with their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Wogoman.
Rev. J. Schroeder visited in the Herschel Wildman home Tuesday. Randy Williams spent the weekend with relatives in Fort Wayne. Mrs. Raymond Vail entertained the Bethany Home Economics club in her home Thursday. There were 19 members. 2 guests and 5 children present for the pot luck dinner and the meeting which followed. Mrs. Pearl Tice was guest of honor at a birthday dinner in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Blue Thursday evening. Others present were: Mr. and Mrs. Byron Grubb and Mr. and Mrs. Grover Jackson. Later in the evening the group visited Mr. and Mrs. Alva Nicolai in Syracuse. Mrs. Manford Mishler, Judy and Bonnie spent Friday in South Bend. Mrs. Zora Bender’s arm, which was broken is healing nicely. The cast will be removed this week. Sunday evening Mr. and Mrs. Guy Nicolai called on Mrs. Bender and Mrs. Lily Niles. Wednesday afternoon Mrs. Manford Mishler and Judy visited Mrs. Cloy Eiler and Mrs. Gene Boyts. Mrs. Ella Bender and Lloyd Bender of Albion called on Mrs. Zora Bender and Mrs. Lily Niles this week. Rev. J. Schroeder visited Mrs. Maggie Forney in Goshen Monday afternoon. Art and Crafts Club Mrs. Elsa Grieger entertained sixteen members of the Arts and Crafts Club at a 6:30 dinnr Monday night In her home. The evening was spent making Christmas decorations. Mrs. Grieger presented a lesson on decorating pine cones. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Olive Miller.
