Rescue Three Sunday When Boat Capsizes A Goshen family of three escaped with minor injuries Sunday when their boat capsized on Syracuse Lake, near Syracuse, throwing them into the water. Dale Sparklin, Turkey Creek Twp constable, reported that Don Mast. 45. RT. 2. his wife. Dene. 32. and Mast s son. Dean Mast. 22. 110 W Pike St., were cruising in the 14-foot boat tn rough waters when the accident occurred. A wave upset the craft and the three were thrown into the water. where they remained for sev«r eral minutes before being pulled: out by other boaters on the lake. ■ Mast suffered a bump on his* head and his son received a cut on his nose and knee bruises. Mrs. Mast lost her pocketbook m' the water.

Methodist Circles Twenty-one members and a guest of Circle No. 1 were guests of Mrs. Jap Jones for a delightful luncheon at the South Shore Hotel Thursday. Mrs Watson of Indianapolis was the guest. After lunch the group retired to the hotel porch overlooking the lake for a brief business meeting con ducted by Mrs. Leone Hogue. A special tribute was expressed for Mrs. Noble Greene, a member of the circle. Mrs. James Stefanski presented a pleasing program of poetry. Mrs. Alva Nicolai was hostess to Circle No. 2 for a carry-in dinner Thursday night. Mrs. W. C. Grischke was welcomed as a new member Mrs. Nicolai entertained with a musical program at the electrical organ. It was decided not to meet in July and August. Mrs. Olive Miller will be hostess for the circle September 1. • • • Circle No. 4 met with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Jones at Dewart Lake tor a pot luck dinner. Mrs. Otto Stoelting gave devotions and Mrs. E. O. Dunn presented the missionary lesson. Dr. and Mrs Stoelting will have the next meeting. COPPER TUBING STOLEN , Deputy Sheriff Max Ganshorn reported Monday that S2OO worth of copper tubing was taken from outside the Lake Side Laundry south of Syracuse on State Road 13 recently. Ganshorn said a plumber had left the tubing outside the busi ness house while making some repairs. THE SYRACUSCENE .... The Rollo Buddes arrived at their home on the south side of Wawasee Lake home last week after spending the winter in Coral Gables. Florida. Mrs. Minnie Blough left Saturday for Lincoln. Syracuse , factory employee, has filed a complaint for divorce against 1 Wayne Nelson Miller in Kosciusko County court. She asks custody of one minor child, title to personal property and costs. Married December 22, 1957, the 1 couple separated May 20. 1960.
