Comp Fire Jubilee Committee Organizes The Golden Jubilee Committee for the Camp Fire Girls met Friday. 20 November in the Scout Cabin. This was the first meeting of the committee, which is set up as an advisory board to the Golden Jubilee of the Camp Fire Girls in March 1961. Officers elected were Raymond Wilson, chairman. Miss Mary Ann Stieglitz, spiritual advisor; Mrs. Earl Money, foreign exchange advisor: Mrs. Raymond Wilson, homemaking ad I visor: Mrs. Roger Martin, hand- | icraft advisor. Mr. and Mrs. Perc i Bartlett, publicity. Earl Money. Ed Richardson and Raymond Wilson, conservation advisors. The theme for the Golden Jubilee is “She Cares—Do You?” This theme will be carried out with the help of the advisory board by it’s guidance in the various fields pertaining to work of Camp Fire Girls. The major project for the Jubilee will be a bird feeding station at the Scout Cabin Various other projects will be the transplanting of seedlings, which the girls planted last year: the study of Indiana’s natural resourses; study of Indiana State Parks: animals, their homes and habits: Camp Fire Girls in other lands: cooking and sewing: and all phases of handicrafts, including oainting. leather tooling, bead work, wood carving. The local chapter of Camp Fire Girls recently received a booklet from their national headquarters concerning the work of the Girls. A leatherbound book will soon be presented to President Eisenhower by the national group and on 2 December an exact replica of that book will be presented to the Svracuse Public Library. Craw at the E.U.B Church Sunday and presented a travelogue of the far east. She described the countries of the Holy Land as a place where time stands still. The Arabs of 2000 years ago traveled on donkeys and camels and lived in goat skin tents. Cradle Shower For Mrs. Larry Mock Mrs. Paul Pollock entertained with a baby shower in honor of Mrs. Larry Mock Monday evening 16 November. She was as sisted by Mrs. Max Workman. Primary Mothers Club: The Primary Mothers Club met Monday night. 23 November at Marise’s Town and Lake Shop in the Village. Hostesses for the evening were. Mrs. Lewis Byland. Mrs, Ernie Rogers and Mrs. Carroll Koble. There were twenty-six members and twenty-five guests present. A short business session was conducted by Mrs. Robert Wiggs. The meeting was then turned over to Mrs. Gene Smith who narrated a fashion show. The first half hour of of the program was a display of children’s clothes. The models were: Linda Bitner. Amy Coy. Susie Miller. Vickie Mock. Cindy and Tenel Pounds. Following a short intermission adult fashions were modeled by Mesdames. Lewis Byland. Douglas Mock. Charles Mil ler. Douglas Jernigan. Roy Miller. Stover Hire, Max Kleinknight, Norman Robie. and Philip Strieby. The fashions shown were several selections of sports wear, street dress and dressier clothes.
