Blood Quota ShortProgram A Success _ The Kosciusko County Red ' Cross Bloodmobile Unit, which visited Syracuse on 5 November lacked meeting their quota by 18 pints. Commenting on the blood prog gram. Mrs. G B Wilson made this statement to the Journal. 'T believe that fcjr a town the size of Syracuse, the blood donation program was .very sucessful, we may be very nroud of g this accomplishment." She went on to state. "All the people connected with the program, help ers. donors, and townspeople alike were very helpful and extremely cooperative in the t program." It was believed that illness was to blame for missing the quota. Syrocuscene ... Mr. and Mrs. Leland A. Carpenter visited recently in Florida at Lehigh Acres where they have purchased property for a homesite. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Lower and daughters. Hospital Notes . . . Mrs. Robert Wolfinger submitted to major surgery at Goshen Hospital Tuesday. Mrs. Herschel Bitner was readmitted at LaGrange Hospital for medical treatment Tuesday. Mrs. Dale Miller. R.R. 1. was dismissed Wednesday from Goshen Hospital. Art and Crafts Club Mrs. Nelson Miles was hostess Monday evening to the Syracuse Art and Craft Club for a lesson in making plaques of wood flowers. The lesson was given in the basement of the Bushong home next door. Mrs. Franklin Rhode of Chicago was a guest. Mrs. Arnold Pfingst will be hostess for the next meeting. Primary Mothers Club: Mrs. John Kroh was hostess to the Primary Mothers Club at her home Monday evening. Mrs. Max Kleinknight and Mrs. Rob ert Wiggs assisted. Twenty-three members including one new member. Mrs. Jack Schacht, and a guest. Mrs. Jay Hrouwer. were present to hear Rev. Carl Satre. pastor of the Lutheran church, speak on Reli gion in the tyrne. Plans were made for the Christmas meeting which will be a dinner and gift exchange. Mrs. Stover Hire won the door prize. The next meeting will be at Marise’s Town and Lake shop in Wawasee Village.
