Lynn And Sally Pittman Have Halloween Party Lynn and Sally Pittman, children of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Pittman. entertained several friends at a Halloween party Friday evening 30 October at their Syracuse Lake home. Deaths—Funerals DUNN Mrs. Jesse Dunn, 85. mother of Everett Dunn. R.R. 3. died in the Bluffton hospital Thursday. Resident of Bluffton. Mrs. Dunn is survived by her uhsband, Jesse, two other sons. Orville who lives in Haiti, and Leslie | of Los Angeles: and a daughter. Mrs. Cecil Guild, a missionary now on furlough from Rangoon. Burma. Services were held Sunday in Bluffton. SNOBARGER Mrs. Millie Frances Snobarger, 86. died Saturday at 5:15 p.m. in her home at 125 East Boston Street where she had lived for the past 51 years. She had been in failing health for several years. A life-time resident of the community she was born in Turkey Creek township 28 August 1873. Her parents were Orlando and Alice Westlake Bartholomew. She was married 22 July 1903 to Henry Snobarger who died in January 1929. Mrs. Snobarger was a member of the Grace Lutheran Cuhrch. Survivors include a son, Orval V.. Syracuse: a daughter. Mrs. Eugene (Louise) Maloy of Angola: a step-daughter, Mrs. Blanche Haab. Bremen: a stepson. John, of Carey, Ohio: 2 grandsons. 1 great grandson: 8 step grandchildren: 9 great-step-grandchildren: and 3 great, great, grandchildren: and a sister, Mrs Gladeys Miller. Redmond. Washington. A brother and two sisters preceded her in death. Services were held Tuesday at the Harris Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl Satre officiating. Burial was in the Syracuse cemetery. Wawakeechie Home Demonstration Club Twenty one members and two guests of the Wawakeechie Home Demonstration club met for a luncheon meeting 28 October at the Turkey Creek Conservation Club. Guests were Mrs Madge Preston of San Angelo, Texas, and Mrs. G. H. Schaefer of Syracuse. Hostesses were Mrs. Fred Banta. Mrs. Robert Day and Mrs. Earl Amick. Mrs. Gene Storms, president, opened the meeting with the thought for the month, followed by the pledge to the flag, singing of “America the Beautiful” and club creed. A meditation on “Friendship’’ was given byMrs. John Runge. Mrs. Calvin Johnson gave the history of the song of the month and led in group singing with Mrs. Fred Banta at the piano. Health and Safety remarks were general in nature. The lesson on “Planning Meals for one Week,” was given by Mrs. Ralph Heil, and roll call was answered by a Bible verse with the word “Thanks” in it. School Will Present Open House Program An open house program will be given in the school 12 November as a part of the observance of American Educational Week. At 7:30 p.m. a program will be presented in the new gymnasium featuring activities of Grades 1 through 6, beginning with the pledge to the flag given by selected members of Grade 1.2, and 3. Mrs. Virginia Ditmer will direct the fourth grade chorus. Miss Marcia Shock will present a physical education demonstration by the girls of Grades 3. 5. and 6. activities. After a short address by Superintendent Immel, the audience will be invited to class rooms from 8:30 to 9:30. All rooms will be open to visitors with special emphasis on the new elementary rooms and the new high school library. The program was arranged by a committee of faculty members including Philip Fawley. chairman, Miss Mary Ann Stieglitz, Mrs. Mary Whiteman, and Mrs. Beulah Bushoing. Superintendent Lewis Immel, High School Principal, Sylvester Amsler, and Elementary Principal Edgar Speer, served as ex-officio members. Mrs. Whiteman and Mrs. Bushong handled the publicity.
