Syracuscene ... Mr. and Mrs. Charles G. Beck entertained at dinner Friday 24 July for Mr. and Mrs. Charles Atwell and daughters. Marian and Barbara, sons Richard and Mark, of Abilene. Texas; Mr. and Mrs. Chancy Himes of Cromwell: Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wilson and daughters. Brenda, Nancy and Jane Marie, and A. D. Wil son of Milford. The are en route to New York to visit his parents.. Rev. and Mrs. Kennard Robinson will leave Friday for northern Minnesota where they will attend a family reunion at Deer Lake. They also plan to do some fishing. Mrs. John'Kroh and son Steven Left Thursday for Jackson ville, Florida where they are visiting Mrs. Kroh's parents for two weeks. Deaths—Funerals BALLARD Chester A. Ballard, 74. died recently at his home in Terre Haute. Burial was in the Highland Lawn Cemetery there. Brother of the late Mrs. Laura Sargent, he is survived by his wife. Mary Catherine, and niece. Mrs. William <Hazel) Wood of Syracuse and St. Cloud Florida. Mr. Ballard was retired from Smith Alsop Varnish company where he was employed a number of years. He iormerly was manager of draperies and luggage at the Herz Department Store in Terre Haute.
