Deaths—Funerals STOREY Services for Mrs. Olive M. Storey, 75, mother of Mrs. R. C. Lopshire of Wawasee Lake, were held in Fort Wayne Tuesday 28 April. Mrs. Storey died at St. Joseph’s Hospital where she had been a patient for several weeks. A Fort Wayne resident for 17 years, she was a native of Wells County. Mrs. Storey spent many summers at Wawasee in her daughter's home. Besides Mrs. Lopshire, she is survived by her husband, Thomas; another daughter. Mrs. Muriel Knapp of Fort Wayne; a brother, a sister, a grandchild and two great-grandchildren. SWARTZ Mrs Mary Ann Schwartz. 80, mother of Mrs. Vernon Beckman, died Wednesday 29 April at Bluffton where services were held Saturday. A lifelong resident of Wells County, she was a member of the Craigville EUB church. Mrs. Schwartz had been in ill health for the past several years. Survivors in addition to Mrs. Beckman Include three sons. Louis J. of Detroit; William H. of Fort Wayne and John H„ Bluffton; three other daughters. Miss Della Kay Schwartz. Alexandria. Va.. Mrs. Nina Taylor Fort Wayne and Mrs. Martha McPartland, Bloomfield. N. J.; 16 grandchildren, eight greatgrandchildren and a brother and sister. BLACK Mrs. Grace A. Black, sister of the late Mrs. Mabel Bowser, died in Bremen Community Hospital Sunday evening. Services were held Wednesday afternoon in the Huff Funeral Home at Bremen. Burial was in the Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier. She was the widow of Dr. F. W. Black of Ligonier. Survivors include a foster daughter. Mrs. Faye Longcor of Ligonier and a niece, Mrs. Helen Widmer. BROWN Mrs. Arthur (Esther) Brown, Boston Street. Syracuse died Tuesday morning .at Goshen Hospital where she had been a patient for several days. She had been ill nine weeks. Born in Benton township 29 July 1898. she lived in this community all of her life. Her parents were Jerry and Dora Schefield Weaver Vail. She married Arthur Brown 1 February-. 1919 in Goshen, who survives. Other survivors are two brothers. Roy and Ralph Vail, a half-brother Deloss Weaver, all of Syracuse; a half sister sister, Mrs. William (Lulu) Gardner: and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Church of God in Syracuse and of the Missionary Society of the church. Services will be held at the Church of God at 2 p.m. Thursday with Rev. Elvin Hoffman officiating assisted by Rev. Albert Troup. Burial will be in the Syracuse cemetery. Friends may call at the Harris Funeral Home until noon Thursday. snt IT WmU lOmwil WANT «B!
