Brown Mr. and Mrs. Jack T. Brown have made plans to move from Syracuse to the San Francisco Bay area. Mr. Brown, a former employee of Liberty Coach left 29 April for Alameda. His wife, who is employed by the Goshen schools, will join him in June. Mrs. Brown is a special education teacher for the lower elementary grades. Special education involves work with the physically handicapped, the mentally retarded and those children who have speech and hearing difficulties. > For the remainder of the school year Mrs. Brown is staying with Mr. and Mrs. John Darr FUR. 2. In United States Service r Airman Richard L. Buscher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred W. Schafer of Route No. 3. Syracuse, has completed his Air Force basic military training at LacklandAFß, Texas, and will attend technical training course for aircraft and missile maintenance at Chanute AFB. Illinois. Troop No. 28 Wins Blue Ribbon at Scout-O-Ram Syracuse scouts of troop No. 28 received a blue ribbon at the Scout O-Rama in Elkhart last week end for their exhibit on wildlife. Fir trees and multaflora roses were placed in the booth. Possum. pheasant, squirrels, a great horned owl, a snow owl and an eagle were effectively arranged in the trees. Members of the troop were in attendance to explain the different phases of wildlife management such as the seeds planted for wildlife and the the tile rabbit runs .which were on display. Posters made by the scouts pertaining to requirements on wildlife management were also on display. Squirrel nesting boxes were made by the scouts during the two day meeting and will be painted and given to the Syracuse City Park. Thanks go from the scouts and their scout master to Doug Jernigan and the Syracuse Rubber Co. for donating the use of their trucks: to James McCall, director of Tri-County Game Presen e for material to pass out. fir trees and rabbit runs; Also, to Miss Hazel Gantz for the loan of her stuffed wildlife animals: Mr. and Mrs. Deloss Smith. FTA Students Visit Manchester College Seventeen students members of the Syracuse Future Teachers of America visited Manchester College at North Manchester 27 April where they visited classes. had dinner, inspected the dorms and visited the “big sister” college chapter of their organization. the student National Education Association. They met the state president of the student N.E.A., Ed Combs of Purdue, and also a national officer. Miss Nora Wilson of Florida. The group was accompanied by Mrs. Leo Kakollik. one of the cosponsors of the Syracuse F.T.A., and Mrs. E. L. Fosbrink. Mrs. Roger Martin and Mrs. Harold Juday.
