According to reports. Harry and his lovely wife, Zora, are already pouring over house plans with an idea of building again soon. • The Jolly Good Neighbors, a Home Demonstration Club of the Claypool community, met at Howard's Restaurant Tuesday, 21 April for a luncheon meeting, followed by a business meeting and program held later at the home of Mrs. Raymond ( Mildred* Wilson. Mrs. Wilson, a former resident of the Silver Lake area, is a new comer to our area, and lives with her husband Raymond and their children Larry and Susan at the Tri County game perserve on State Road 13, where Mr. Wilson is a unit leader for the conservation Department. • Also attracting many admiring glances at the recent P.T.A. event was spectator Virginia uMrs. George) Myers, who wore a beautiful length full length red corduroy coat which off set her lovely grey hair to perfection. • Adding greatly to the appear ance of the already attractive Hoosier Gift and Skateland building on State road 13 are the evergreens that owner Keith Cripe planted this past week in front of the building. Keith, we is quite a versatile and nx3-workinj guy. who can do his own landscaping, run a skating rink, run a cabinet mak mg factory, answer fire calls, build houses and apartments, and head up the town’s civil defense program! Joe Blocker, son of Mrs. Harriet Blocker, recently was elected president of the Elk _ hart Jaycees and will take office 1 July. • Mrs. Noble Blocker was wearing a corsage Friday of two beautiful deep red roses, a gift from her husband in observance of their 32nd wedding anniversary. Married in Sweetzer. the Blockers moved to Syracuse twenty-fives years ago from Marion where their two sons, John and James, were born. James and his wife, who have been married one year, arrived from Indianapolis for the week end Friday for a double celebration of the occasion. • Tom Pricket is Tom Socks right hand man since he returned to town after serving two years in the army, 15 months of which was in Italy. A 1952 graduate of Syracuse High School t he is the son of Mrs. Ruth Prickett and former owner of the Syracuse Case. He is a member of the Lion Club and Masonic Lodge. • Seth Ward’s new library on his Wawasee Lake property is filling up with books and an art collection. A truck load arrived last week to be installed in the handsome building which has the pillars from the old school building at its portal. • Paul and Mary Jane Christine are starting to rebuild the damaged part of Angler’s Cove now that the smoke and burned parts have been cleared away since fire wrecked havoc there a month or more ago! But .they haven’t set an opening date yet!
