Syracuse Indiana, the event, a new member of the senior class of 1959 was bom to Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Jones. Jr. Her name was to be Judy Jill Jones. Judy started school in the first grade at Syracuse and has continued through all twelve years. She has been one of the outstanding members of our class being cheerleader for three years and secretary-treasurer of class five years. Judy is a member of the band, chorus and was in both the junior and senior class plays. She was also elected the FJ?-A. Chapter Sweetheart this year. Among Judy’s likes are ham. bookkeeping, typing. Jeff Chand ler. and Doris Day. Her favorite Song is “True Love’’ and singing group is the Four Freshmen. She also names basketball as her favorite sport. Her pet peeve is tangled up clothes hangers. She plans to attend college after graduation, possibly at Butler University. We all wish Judy the best of luck in whatever she does! WHO’S WHO April 1. 1940. was really an April Fool’s Day for Mr. and Mrs. Everett T. Graff of Goshen. Indiana. On this day Fredrick Martin Graff was bom. Marty, as he is known to all of us. attended school in Goshen until his sophomore year when he entered Syracuse High School. Marty is quite an artist. He does a lot of the artistic work which has to be done for different school activities. Marty lists his favorites as steaks, art history, and business courses; James Stewart and Kim Novak; “Twilight Time” and Buddy Rich. His favorite sport is football. Marty’s pet peeve is one who acts big and makes remarks to embarrass people. He says that if he had his twelve years to live over again he would try to get along with more people and study harder

THANKSGIVING SERVICE AT LUTHERAN CHURCH SUNDAY Grace Lutheran Church, Syracuse has announced that the annual Thanksgiving service of the Parish and every member enlistment day will be observed Suday 23 November at 10.45 am. All members and friends of the church are asked to bring their pledges for the year to be dedicated at the altar on this day. Dr. Charles E. White, pastor, will conduct the liturgical service and preach on the subject: “Always Thankful.” Grace church choir under the direction of the organist and choirmaster, Mrs. Hilary L. Bachman will sing an appropriate anthem. The public is cordially welcome to attend this special Thanksgiving Service. JUNIOR MOTHERS CLUB A number of guests attended the annual bazzaar of the Junior Mothers Club when members met at'the home of Mrs. Philip Fawley Monday evening. Mrs. Stanley Hoppingamer and Mrs. Bill Eyer were co-hostesses. Mrs. Carl Hadley will have the next meeting which will be a Christmas party 15 December. seniormothers club Mrs .Floyd Gingrich entertained the Senior Mothers Club Monday night at her home. Sixteen members and one guest. Mrs. Al Burson, were present. Mrs. Joe Thornburg reviewed the book entitled The Life of Pearl S. Buck. Mrs. Gladys Smith won the sunshine gift. She also assisted as co-hostess. for his education. Marty plans to attend art school after he graduates from high school. We know that Marty will make good in whatever he does! FRESHMAN CLASS We wish to congratulate the Varsity on their well deserved victory over Pierceton. Let’s keep up the good work, boys! Wednesday evening, 12 Novemberk was open house at the school and all of the parents were invited. The girls physical education classes put on a program in which the Freshmen girls demonstrated a game of soccer. In GAA..
