Rummage Sale Is Next Project Os BPW Club Twenty-six members of the Syracuse Business and Professional Women’s Club met for a German dinner of sauerbraten arid potato pancakes at the Dixie Restaurant Tuesday night. The menu is a specialty of Harry Reuschel who assumed ownership of the Dixie 1 August from Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bates. The annual rummage sale sponsored by the organization will be held again at Beckman’s Turkey Creek Furniture Shop. The sale will open Friday 31 October at 8 pm. continuing until 8 p.m. Saturday 1 November. sale hours will be from 8 a.m. ’til noon. Webster Goes On Dial Phone Sun. Morning North Webster will go on dial service at 1:01 a m. CST Sunday 19 October. All Webster numbers include the prefix TERrace. abbreviated TE. A new supplementary listing for the 850 phones of the North Webster exchange, giving prefix and correct new number was issued by United Telephone company last week. Syracuse, Cromwell, Leesburg, and Pierceton will have “free service’’ to North Webster numbers and will make calls as follows: Syracuse subscribers will ask their operator to dial the Webster number. This system will continue until spring 1959 w-hen Syracuse is scheduled to go on dial service. At that time. Syracuse people will dial Webster numbers direct. Cromwell and Leesburg subscribers will dial the complete directory number including the prefix. Pierceton subscribers will ask the Pierceton operator to dial Webster numbers. W.S.C.S. Meets Today For World Tour Day The Woman’s Society of World Service of the Methodist Church meets Thursday 16 October for a world tour program. Following a short business meeting called for 1:00 p.m. at the church, the members will visit China at Foo and Faye’s Cantonese Resturant. Latin Ahierica at the horrie of Mrs. Ernest Bushong, the Marshall Islands. Burma, Formosa and other countries in the home of Mrs. Joe Bushong.
