It has been more than gratifing to those who worked so hard with the Water Safety Program this year to be complimented on the progress of the training and success of the program. Parents, swimmers. communities, summer residents and visitors have shown a tremendous interest in the program and the performance of the girls and boys working with it. Jim Stefanski and Al Bauer have assisted admirably at the beaches and have earned needed credits for continuing in the program from Barbara Thornburg. Mary Miner. There was some soliciting for funds but for the most part, donations from 50c to $594 were given voluntarily. Can anyone ask for better interest er pride in a community project?
