THMKSGIVW November reminds us in a special way to give thanks, and to Remember God for all His mercies, in the past, present and future. We as a nation remember God’s guidance and provision in the past. And our national history reveals that the hand of God presides over the destiny of nations. Our forefathers prayed for a land where they could worship God without governmental interference. America was the answer to their prayers, and America must maintain that same faith in God. How grateful to God, we citizens ought to be for our beautiful and bountiful America. Let not the spirit of ingratitude be shown, in the business world, in politics, in our churches, nor in our homes. But remember God for all His Benefits and Goodness to men. Invite God into every avenue of activity for strength and stability. Thank God for the blessings of freedom, for the Christian Church with its teachings of Law and Gospel. Thank God for the Christian homes and parents, and Christian youth. As Americans, we have cast our lines in pleasant places. Our land has been spared the ravages of war. Let this Thanksgiving be for our land and especially to “Remember All The Way Which The Lord Thoy God Led Thee.” Rev. Carl Sorenson Pastor, Grace Lutheran Church
