Mr. and Mrs. Earl Teghtmeyer and sons have moved into their newly built home at the southwest edge of town. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Baugher and family are now living in the basement of their home which* is in the process of being built. Callers at the Orva Miller home Wednesday night were Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Helmuth and family and Miss Edna Miller of Goshen and Miss Kathy Kline. Mr. and Mrs. Ormel Kline and family had Sunday dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Halsey and family of Albion. Mrs. Lester Plew returned home Saturday from the Goshen General Hospital where she underwent observation.

Webster Club Notes TIPPECANOE TWP. HOME DEMONSTRATION CLUB A lesson on landscaping, givepby Mrs. Gertrude Caskey, was greatly enjoyed Wednesday by members of the Tippecanoe Township Home Demonstration Club. Two new members, Mrs. Nell Gentry and Miss Mary James, were welcomed into the club. Each member brought a Christmas gift to be sent to the patients at the Beatty Hospital in Westville. A Christmas party will be held 18 December at Foo and Faye’s with secret pals being revealed. Those celebrating birthdays in November were Mrs, Lester Gray, Mrs. Nell Gentry, Mrs. Helen Shields and Mrs. Edna Schoeff. Tables were decorated with red and yellow cabbages, nuts, pop corn, apples, squash and pumpkins by the hostesses who were Mrs. Gertrude Caskey, Mrs. Delbert Cretcher and Mrs. Al Rezbck. BACKWATER FRIENDS CLUB Mrs. Sam Humbles entertained the North Webster Backwater Friends at her home Thursday evening. Mrs. Everett Smith led the devotions and Mrs. Robert Roose gave a history of the song of the month. Mrs. Darrell Leap gave a health and safety lesson, on Immunization against Diseases and Mrs. Earl Black was in charge of the lesson on Homemade Toys, with samples on same and several patterns. Each member brought articles for a white elephant sale. Next month will be a Christmas party at the home of Mrs. Vern Hollar, at which time secret pals will be revealed. Gifts are to be sent to the Beatty Hospital in Westville for Christmas. What I Want For Christmas was the response to roll call. Mrs. Everett Smith served as cohostess. Mrs. A. L. Miller is spending a few days with her sister in Illinois.

Composes Musk For Webtser Program An unusual and interesting feature of the North Webster Christmas program, which will be held in connection with the December PTA meeting, will be the introduction of four newly composed songs by James K. Greiner, Webster High School music , instructor. Mr. Greiner has composed music in the past, however, this will be the first time he will have used his own compositions in public. Music and words are both original, containing a Christmas theme. The titles of the songs are, “Candy Cane Parade,” to be sung by the grade school choir; a calypso number, “Mary Had A Baby,” by the junior high choir; “Diamond, Star Diamond,” the Girls Glee Club; and “GloriaPeace,” by the mixed choir. A complete schedule for the Christmas program will be printed later. Webster Home Ec. Class Entertains At Dinner The tenth grade home economics class of the North Webster High School prepared a lavish turkey dinner Wednesday. After school was dismissed the girls .their instructor, Mrs. Marc Copeland, and three guests, Mr. and Mrs. Gaylord Toll and Marc Copeland, enjoyed eating the meal which was prepared with much care and precision. The menu consisted of turkey, dressing, yeast rolls, mashed potatoes, gravy, scalloped corn, a relish plate, cranberry salad, pumpkin pie and tea or coffee. Immediately following the meal the group, accompanied by Mrs. Robert Leap. Mrs. Croll, Mrs. Taylor and Mrs. Orcutt, who drove automobiles, journeyed to Fort Wayne to see a movie. The senior girls home economics class will again this year participate in the Betty Crocker Search For The Homemaker Os The Year contest, making this the fourth year that North Webster has particapted in this particular contest. There will be twenty-three girls taking part. The contest will take place 3 December. WEE WEBSTERWOMEN Mrs. Robert Fidler entertained the Wee Webster Women one evening last week. Mrs. David Clayton led devotions and a Christmas Workshop lesson was conducted by Mrs. Robert Niles and Mrs. Douglas Bowser who demonstrated how to make Christmas decorations. Mrs. Lloyd Hively had a health and safety lesson dealing with mental health. A small auction was one feature of the meeting. A Christmas party will be held next month at the home of Mrs. Merritt Wagoner and secret pals will be revealed then. Mrs. Norbert Niles assisted Mrs. Fidlei- in serving delicious refreshments. WEBSTER HI C CLUB Don Weltmore, from Grace College at Winona, entertained the North Webster Hl C Club Tuesday night with an assortment of magic tricks. The Misses Margaret Bowser and Dorothy Engelberth presented ' a vocal number and Larry Jordan conducted a Bible quiz. t Mr. Jordan also acted as song leader. WEBSTER JR. AUXILIARY The North Webster Junior Auxiliary is preparing foi* inspection, which will be held in the near future. Mrs. Edward Burns, Grand Counsellor from Cromwell. will conduct the inspection. Jr. Enterprise Groups Work At New Projects The Manufacturing Division of the Webstei* Junior Enterprise is setting up shop in an unused room at the Lyall Electric Factory in North Webster. Previous plans were to use the shop in the school building, however it is believed the current plan will be best suited to all concerned. Shares of stock are already being pledged, awaiting the printing of certificates. Members of the Little Theatre group at North Webster, a part of the Webster Junior Enterprise, are in the process of writing three one-act plays to be given at a future date. Harry S. Zwickel, a former stage actor from New York, is assisting in the direction of the theatre group. Mrs. William G. Connolly and sons. Byron and Leon, attended the funeral of Mrs. Anna LaPointe at Tecumseh, Michigan, last Wednesday.

Local News . . . Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Insley of Wawasee Lake spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Cox of South Bend. Mr. and Mrs. John P. Kingsbury and son, Mike, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, arrived Wednesday night at the home of her sister. Mrs. J. B. Ridgeway, for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Ridgeway were week end visitors recently of relatives in Bellefontaine, Ohio. Mr. and Mrs. Burns Van Sickle and family will be Thanksgiving Day guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Van Sickle. Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Coy will be hosts for the family Thanksgiving dinner including Mr. and Mrs. Roy Sargent, Mr. and Mrs. Tim Darr and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Coy and three children.
