Camp Fire Girls NE-WA-TAN-NAH Judy Stucky called the meeting to order. Bobby Stiver read the roll call. We answered with, where we are going for Thanksgiving. We had old business. We discussed new business. We discussed about going caroling The girls had an election of efficers. The officers are the following: President, Bobby Stiver; Vice-P’-esident, Jean Culp Secretary Carol Hostetler Song leader Judy Stucky; We talked about making something for our parents. The Girls worked on their Birthday Project. We made turkeys out of apples. Were they ever crazy. We sang ‘Above A Plain’. We were dismissed. Scribe Jane Stoelting Miss Nancy Clark is home from Pinebrook School of girls at Glen Arbor, Michigan, for the Thanksgiving holiday with her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Fred Clark. The class chose their commencement Invitations style, lettering and verse. By ordering the cards before 8 January the class will receive a 25% discount on the cards and a 50% discount on personal name cards. Wednesday 11 December has been set for the turkey supper, which is sponsored by the Curtis Magazine Publishing Company. ASSEMBLY PROGRAM Thursday 21 November the Student Council showed the assembly another file entitled, “Valley Os Light.” The film was about Yosemite National Park. * It showed many beautiful scenic'-views of the park, ones which some tourists never see. POLLYANNA 4-H CLUB The Pollyanna 4-H Club met Wednesday 20 November after school in the Home Ec. room. The pledges were given by Toni Jo Butt and Mary Jo Firestone. Peggy Firestone led the group In singing. Mrs. Heaton explained to the new members the qualifications and requirements for a 4-H girl. Mrs. Louis Firestone discussed the Achievement Program which wil be held 2 December. This program is to give recognition to the achievement of last year members. Final business was to elect the officers for the new year. Local News ... The William J. Wesners left Wednesday for New Albany. Indiana, where they will spend the Thanksgiving holidays. Myron Cooperrider, formerly of Lake Wawasee, who resides in Cleveland, spent the week end visiting friends in the area. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Kimpel and family are in Ohio where they will spend Thanksgiving vacation with Mr. Kimpel’s family. Rev. and Mrs. Noble Greene four visitors attended the meeting.
