Paul Levernier Forms New Corporation Here Formation of a new corporation in Syracuse known as Custom Crest Car Products, Inc., has been announced by Paul Levernier, Syracuse businessman, who is also connected with Levernier Laboratories. Partners in the firm with Levernier are William Tosch of Antigo, Wisconsin and Gordon Flauding of Syracuse, who are both salesmen for the firm. They will manufacture a new liquid car polish known as “custom crest gloss cream,” made from a formula of variously compounded silicones developed by Levernier, which makes possible a pure silicone surfacing of automobile finishes. Also manufactured by the firm is a “reactor cleaner” for precleaning of badly oxidized surfaces. They will also produce a new white sidewall tire cleaner. ‘ - In United States Service In Air Force Ned A. To Go Overseas Pvt. Tom Prickett, son of Mrs. Ruth Prickett, who has been home on 20-day furlough, leaves Saturday for Brooklyn Navy Yard and overseas duty. Christmas Seal Drive Shows Early Progress Mrs. William Geiger, chairman in Turkey Creek Township Christmas Seal Drive of Kosciusko County, reports that over $l3O has been received to date. The campaign began 15 November and will continue thru 25 December. In the last few years, said Mrs. Geiger, this township has made the highest contribution of the towns in the county with the exception of Winona. Proceeds from the sale of these seals provides funds for the chest x-ray unit, which makes annual visits to each community, in addition to other work of the Tuberculosis Association. One of Whistler’s paintings was accepted only after it was turned upside down.

Webster Band Boosters Plan Special Ball Game The basketball game to be held at North Webster on Tuesday night 3 December, featuring the merchants and faculty members, promises to be a very exciting evening. This event is sponsored by the Band Booster Club and proceeds will be used to increase funds to purchase additional raisers for the vocal section of the music department. The fore part of the evening will be devoted to basketball games between the various grade school teams. Robert Ritchie, high school principal, will act as coach for the faculty team, with James Greiner, Paul Royer, Floyd Baker, Gaylord Toll, Don Butts and Lester Young participating. Jerry Rhoades, Bert Rhoades, Jack Rhoades, Bob Likens, Nub Niles, Dean Burchard, Bill Whisler, Woody Beezley, Joe Shock and Bus Likens will play for the merchants. There will be a cake walk immediately following the final game. Refreshments will be sold during the evening by Band Booster members. Tickets may be obtained from parents of band members or at the door. Dan Watson, Band Booster Club president, urges anyone interested in the band and its functions to join the club and lend their support. The club meets in the band room on the fourth Monday night of each month at 7:30 p. m. C.S.T. Local Teachers Join Delta Kappa Gamma Mrs. Leo Kowallik and Mrs. Guy Bushong, Syracuse Grade School teachers, were initiated last week into the Alpha Nu Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society in a service held at the Warana Restaurant in Plymouth. Mrs. Mary Anderson of Argos was also received into the teachers group. Miss Hannah Lindahl, director of elementary education in Mishawaka, reviewed the book, “With Faith and Fervor,” written by Jesse Stuart, formerly a school teacher in Kentucky. Area teachers who attended the session were Mrs. Glen Longenecker, Mrs. Stanley Peters, Mrs. Luther Vance, Mrs. William Veltman, Mrs. C. A. Braddock, Mrs. R. G. Ingalls, Miss. Minnie Lloyd, Mrs. Vernon Miller, Mrs. Hubert Petrie, Miss Esther Pflelderer, Mrs. Fred Wright and Miss Maud Yontz. UNDERGOES SURGERY AT MAYO CLINIC THIS WEEK Mrs. James Connolly entered Mayo Clinic at Rochester, Minnesota, last .week and was scheduled for surgery this week. Warriors Begin Practice 5 December Wawasee Warriors, drum and bugle corps of Wawasee Post 223 of the American Legion will report for practice Thursday s'December, 7:30 p. m. eastern standard time. All those intereted are invited to attend this session. Rotary Club Rev. Noble Greene presented the program at Rotary Club last Monday evening in the form of a movie, “The Petrified River,” a story of Uranium. The film covered everything from the mining of the Uranium ore to the final use of the material. It showed many of the applications of Uranium in the medical field and was highly interesting. Program next week is under the direction of Bob McClintic and will be a travelogue. Monday 9 December is the tenth anniversary of the Rotary Club in Syracuse. We know now that it will be a special program with a lot of features that will make it an evening that will long be remembered. Details will be given in next week’s paper.

Attend State Farm Bureau Convention Three members of the Tippecanoe Township Farm Bureau attended the State Farm Bureau Convention in Indianapolis recently and gave a resume of interesting events which were observed there at their monthly meeting Monday night. Mrs. Rachel Moreh'ead, Charles Long and Ronald Greider were those who attended the convention. Several representatives from the local bureau will attend the National Convention at Chicago in December. Rev. Denbo was in charge of the devotional period for this meeting. STANLEY DEMONSTRATION AT BREAKFAST PARTY Mrs. Al Burson was hostess at a morning breakfast party for several friends on Thursday morning 21 November at her Papakeechie Lake home.
