Miss Coy took notes at the game and very ably, with a certain amount of help, wrote the Social Side. Fast time, slow time, who’s on what? Found out that Concord is on fast time. It seems they arrived at the gym about an hour early. Our kind faculty opened the doors to admit them. Hope they didn’t get tired of waiting. Syracuse band was put through their exercises with the help of director James Lentz and drum majorette Jill Largen before the two team games. Their highlight was the forming of a clock. An interesting theme, “All Thru The Day,” enumurated different hours of the day and their significance. Looked real nice, said the audience. Public announcement of the

band’s activities and introduction of the line-up was done by Suzi Klink. A change was made. Now there are two “B” team cheerleaders besides the three Varsity team cheerleaders. Heard many comments on the second team girls. “They’re wonderful!” Carolyn Barnhart, just taking over her new position, and Sandra Swenson worked in almost perfect unison and kept the crowd going, especially with hand and feet movement yells. Varsity team cheerleaders, Sue Herdrich, Dian Alfrey and Judy Jones, cannot go without comment. You did fine, girls. Even if you couldn’t tell who was in the Booster Club by looking, you could by listening. They almost hoisted the rafters with “Go Syracuse, Beat Concord,” swaying from left to right. Screams of delight could be heard from Syracuse fans as the gun was shot, ending another victory for Syracusans.. A ref took sick and had to sit out some of the game. Sure hope he is feeling better now. Glad to see Mr. and Mrs. Luther Vance present at the exciting game. Mrs. Vance did get to see her ex-school chalk up a victory. Attention was drawn to the five girls dressed alike. Well,

Nice to see a good turnout from both victorious Syracuse and the nonvictorious Minutemen. Terry Frushour was in charge of the entertainment at the dance. However, so he could
