Shop At Yellowbanks Draws Craft Groups Various clubs and organizations which visited Hilda’s Homecraft Shop at Yellowbanks during the past week were the Primary Mothers Club from Syracuse, Scout Troop 15 from Warsaw and the Busy Bees Home Demonstration Club from Milford. Mrs. Harry Stark reports increasing interest in the free classes in leather tooling, ceramics, and other crafts at her shop. Camp Fire Girls JUNIOR HORIZON CLUB The Junior Horizon Club met Monday I 1 November. We decided to have a party 23 November. The president appointed Refreshment and game committees. It was also decided only freshmen would be asked. Reporter, Donna Moots.
Webster Homemakers Observe Anniversary An eleventh Anniversary dinner for the North Webster Efficient Homemakers was held Thursday evening at Foo and Faye’s Restaurant. There were twenty-two members and one guest present and the majority of these enjoyed a Chinese dinner, with a few perferring American style dinners. Six young ladies and four men surprised the group by furnishing entertainment for the evening. The girls, Joan Royer, Jerilyn Richcreek, Joan Gerard, Jill Sullivan, Linda Miller and Cheryl Miller, sang a song. Paul Royer, Gaylord Toll, James Greiner and John Reasoner called the Four Flats, entertained with three songs. To Have Classes For District SS Workers A District Training School for Sunday School teachers and workers will be held at the North Webster Church of God 18, 19, and 20 November. Mrs. H. A. Ganger will teach a children’s division course; Rev. Robert Fields of Nappanee, a youth division course; and Rev. Daniel Slaybaugh of Akron will teach an adult division course. Large Crowd Enjoys Halloween Festival (Held Over From Last Week) A very successful Halloween festival was held at the Syracuse High School gym 31 October. The parade of ghosts, Indians, goblins, and other Halloween characters was the highlight of the evening, while active audience participation in each festival booth was reported. Jack D. Clark acted as capable master of ceremonies for the evening, and Paul Levernier was Parade Marshall assisted by William T. Jones, Jr. Mrs. E. L. Fosbrink, PTA president, announced the receipt of a $lO contribution to the Halloween Fund from the American Legion, and also $lO from the American Legion Auxiliary. Members of the Primary Mothers Club who tended the food stand sponsored by their club were Mrs. Gerald Bitner, Mrs. Marshall Coy, Mrs. Jim Frye, Mrs. Gerald Hubartt, Mrs. Doug Jernigan, Mrs. Clifford LeCount, Mrs. Bud Miller, Mrs. Roy Miller, Mrs. Ernest Rogers, Mrs. Allen Shively, Mrs. Philip Strieby, Mrs. Robert Wiggs, Mrs. Adrian Zollinger, and Mrs. Delbert Whitehead. Mrs. Art Mabie made the posters. Several members of the Freshman Horizon Club assisted the Primary Mothers by selling doughnuts and cider during the festival. They were Carol Bieber, Kay Brown, Bonnie Brouwer, Suzanne Buchan, Linda Hostetler, Patsy Hummel, Jackie Jones, Jo Ann Karesh, Larrenna Laird, Shirley Levernier, Diana Lung, Donna Moots, Sherry Searfoss and Shirley Yoder. Members of the Intermediate Mothers Club who assisted at the “cake” stand were Mrs. Bud Cripe, Mrs. Harold Arnold, Mrs. Nelson Auer, Mrs. Harold Kline, Mrs. William T. Jones, Jr., Mrs. James Stucky, Mrs. Leo Kowallik and Mrs. Max Ganshorn. Lewis Immel also provided lots of assistance for this group. In charge of the PTA gunshoot was Roger Martin, assisted by Carl Penn and Chuck Penn. Mrs. Lewis Hastings and Mrs. Eugene Smith presided at the Junior Mothers cake walk table while tickets were sold by all members of the club. At the Lions basketball throw were Fred Traster, Jr., Chris Koher, Charlie Frushour and Deloss Weaver. Leroy Fischer and Mickey Jones operated the PTA baseball throw. Working at the Chamber of Commerce fishpond were Mrs. Lee Fischer, Mrs. Rollie Byler, Mrs. Bob Byler, Mrs. Horace Gottschalk, Mrs. Roger Martin, Gerald Cramer, Jesse Mitchell and Oscar Benson. The Rotary Booster Booth was manned by Lee Fischer, Mr. and Mrs. Bob McClintic, Jerry Herbison, Nelson Auer, Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Howard, Jimmy Howard, John Weatherhead, John Sheire, Clem Lisor, Leon Connolly, John Lantz, Tom McClintic and Jim Stefanski. In charge of distributing
prizes were Mrs. Ralph Thornburg, Jr. and Harold Arnold. Frank Hale was chairman of
