Fire, Inc. On 16 October Mrs. Owens was in Syracuse while on tour of the region. At a called meeting of the officers and board members of the Syracuse leaders, Mrs. Owens outlined the various organizational procedures of Camp Fire, Inc. and made her recommendations to the group. Final plans were made for the annual candy sale 23 November. Creamy mints and peanut crunch will be sold again with all groups except Bluebirds participating in the sale. Election of officers of the Independent Leaders will be held in January. Present officers are Mrs. Paul Lantz, president: Mrs. Jack? D. Clark, vice-president: Mrs. Frank Stefanski, treasurer: and Mrs. Bud Cripe, secretary. Patty Niles, 12 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Burton Niles of Pierceton, attended the Syra-cuse-Pierceton game here Friday night and remained for the week end with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Niles.

Stephen Lung, son o f Mr. and Mrs. Merritt Lung, recently reported to McDill Air Force Base at Tampa, Florida, on a new assignment. He and his wife are living at 3306 Villa Rosa, Tampa. Trains With 6th Regiment Sgt. Larry E. Nelson, 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester W. Nelson, NortH Webster, -recently participated in a six-week field training exercise with the 6th Infantry Regiment in Germany. Nelson, a squad leader in the regiment’s Company G, entered the Army in January 1954 and arrived overseas in April 1955. His wife, Christel, is with him in Germany. Rural Youth Clubs Have Joint Meeting Miss Phyllis Milner, president of Indiana Rural Youth, was the speaker at the meeting of five Rural Youth Clubs of Allen, DeKalb, Marshall, Whitley and Kosciusko Counties held recently at the Fairgrounds east of Warsaw. Miss Milner told of trips she had taken with Rural Youth groups showing illustrations. Frank Tom was master of ceremonies; John Marks, district leader, directed the recreation period when games and square dancing were enjoyed. Joyce Wilkinson, of Whitley County, led the group singing. Among the guests were Dick Haynes, district president. The next meeting of the Kosciusko Rural Youth Club is scheduled for 20 November at the Leesburg High School cafeteria, 7:30 p. m. C.S.T. A special tap dancing number will be given by Pat Smith. Acting hosts at the five-club meeting were Frank Tom and Miss Mary Lou Denzel.
