day afternoon. ~ Members of the Syracuse Pythian Sisters attended the District Inspection of the Pythian Sisters Lodge at Cromwell Monday evening were Miss Florence Moore, Mrs. Lizzie Pollock, Mrs. Zerola Zook, Mrs. Martha Whetteh, Mrs. Nelle Sloan, Mrs. Maude Traster, Mrs. Stella Swartz, Mrs. Agnes Causer and Mrs. Ella Unrue. Mr. and Mrs. Richard K. Miller and children, Tom and Michele, and Mrs. Georgia Miller were in Logansport Sunday to Spend the day with Mrs. Dick Miller’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Wills. Mr. and Mrs. Paul McClintic and son, Bobby, of Toledo, Ohio, were guests Sunday of Mrs. McClintic’s brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Crow. Their mother, Mrs. Ada Crow, spent the day with them. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Rodgers spent Sunday in South Bend with their son and family, the George Rodgers. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Shock and son, Stephen, have returned to Syracuse and are living at the Turtle Bay Trailer Park. Mr. Shock was recently released from the Air Force. Mr. and Mrs. J. Humpke of Dubuque, lowa, parents of Mrs. E. L. Fosbrink, and her aunts, Miss Carrie Collings and Miss Lena Magdalene Humpke, were guests of the Fosbrinks over the week end. Miss Collings will continue her visit for several weeks.

Mr. and Mrs. Ed Lancaster of White Plains, New York, were guests of Mr. and Mrs.. Rollo Budde on Sunday. Closing their newly purchased Ogden Island home for the winter were Mr. and Mrs. John Servaas of Indianapolis, who spent the week end at the lake. Dr. E. L. Fosbrink attended a meeting in Elkhart last Wednesday of the American Academy of General Practitioners of the northern Indiana district. Mrs. Elnora Colwell, who underwent surgery in the Elkhart General Hospital recently, returned home Thursday. Mrs. John C. Mason and Mrs. E. L. Fosbrink attended a meeting of the Auxiliary of the Elkhart County Medical Association in Elkhart last week. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Armstrong of Indianapolis spent the week end at their Ogden Island cottage. Mrs. A. W. Sutton and James W. Sutton of Indianapolis were week enders at the Ogden Island home of Frank Garten. Mrs. Helen Snyder of Edwardsburg, Michigan, was a week end guest of Mr. and Mrs. Clem Sheibley. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Earl Treadway, Lake Wawasee, joined the Sheibley’s for dinner. Mr. and Mrs. William Geiger spent Sunday in Nappanee as dinner guests of the Herbert Martindale family. In the afternoon they attended the Homecoming services at the Nappanee E.U.B. Church. Speaker for the afternoon was Mr. George Gaba of Africa. Mr. Gaba is a medical student at Indiana Central. Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Cripe and family were Sunday guests of the Everett Crow family. Sunday callers of the Orval Carr’s were Roy Carr of Claypool and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Carr of Goshen. Natheda Crow, daughter of the Everett Grow’s spent the week end in Cromwell visiting her aunt, Mrs. Pearl Hursey. Harry Juday entered the Elkhart General Hospital late Frb day evening for observation aira underwent surgery Monday morning. Several months ago Mr. Juday submitted to an emergency appendectomy. Mrs. Howard Juday is ’ now working full time as a nurse at the Clark and Craig offices. Carl F. Nickel was admitted to Elkhart General Hospital Monday for medical treatment. Mrs. Kenneth Harkless entertained the Wednesday Bridge Club yesterday. Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Beck visited with their son, Wendell, and wife and daughters, Wendy,
