| Club Notes . . . SENIOR MOTHERS CLUB Mrs. Lloyd Moser of Warsaw was guest speaker at Senior Mothers Club Monday night when it met at the home of Mrs. Floyd Gingerich. Sixteen members and one guest, Mrs.' Ida Deardorff, enjoyed her talk on the Relationship of Youth and Parents of Today. An officer of Child’s Welfare in Warsaw, Mrs. Moser serves the northern half of Kosciusko County. Dates for November and December meetings of the club were changed to 4 and 18 No- , vember and 16 December, which | will be the Christmas party.
The next meeting, 21 October, will be a threatre party for the older group of Horizon Camp Fire Girls, whose leader is Mrs. Frank Herdrich. The picture at the Pickwick will be “Fire Down Below” with Rita Hayworth, Robert .Mitchum and Jack Lemon. All club members are urged to attend. Mrs. Ralph Heil and Mrs.‘ John Cripe were voted into the club membership. Mrs. Samuel Larson won the Sunshine gift, a very pretty leaf shaped pin. A delicious lunch of frozen sqlad, assorted crackers and coffee was served by the hostess and her assistants, Mrs. LaVon Davis and Mrs. Lewis Cobbum. THE TURKEY CREEK CONSERVATION CLUB Five officers answered roll call at the meeting of the Turkey Creek Conservation Club 1 October. Several letters from State Conservation were read concerning hunting licenses for pheasants to private clubs hunting on their own property. Price of each license was SI.OO. « A potluck supper and card party is to be held at the clubhouse 18 October at 6:30 p. m. to which the public is invited. Each person is to bring a covered dish and own tableservice. Square dances will be held 11 and 26 October at 8:00 p. m. and on 24 October for the teen age dance. The public is invited to these dances. FRIENDLY NEIGHBORS CLUB Friendly Neighbors Club met 2 October with nineteen members present and one guest. Mrs. Irma Scheele became a new member. A lovely luncheon was served on tables of white appropriately trimmed in Halloween colors of black and orange. Nema Collins won the sunshine gift. The 6 November meeting will be a potluck dinner at 11:30 a. m. Each member is to bring a covered dish, table service, and a white elephant. Mrs. Al Graf was chairman of the committee for October with Mrs. James Bundy and Mrs. Walter Rohlings assisting. The committee for November will be Mrs. Robert Williams and Mrs. James B. Ballard. WI-NE-CHESH-KI The Wi-Ne-Chesh-Ki group of Camp Fire Girls, led by Mrs. Frank Putt, attended the Camp Fire Council Fire in Goshen on 6 October. They were guests of the Gcshen Camp Fire Girls. Mrs. Putt was accompanied by Susan LeCount, Sylvia Karesh, Connie Brown and Bunny Cripe. Camp Fire Girls (Held Over From Last Week) OKIHAN The meeting was called to order 30 September and minutes were read. Attendance was taken and dues were collected. Methodist Circles CIRCLE NO. THREE Mrs. Jack Kimpel entertained Circle Three of the Methodist Church at her home 3 October. She was assisted by Mrs. Bert Francis and Mrs. Eugene Yoder. In the devotions given by Mrs. Francis, she included a short history of the Royal Poinciana Chapel in Palm Beach, Florida, and read a part of an interesting sermon by the pastor. Dr. Lindsay. Circle chairman Mrs. Clif Kinder appointed committees to serve during the Bazaar to be held 14 November from 1:00 to 4:30 p. m. at Kell’s Body Shop on South Huntington Street. The public is invited to this bazaar. METHODIST W.S.C.S. PLANS BAZAAR IN NOVEMBER The W.S.C.S. of the Methodist Church will hold their bazaar on 17 November frgm 1:00 to 4:30 p. m. at Kell’s Body Shop on South Huntington Street. For some time the ladies have been busy making attractive items for Christmas gifts and general use. There also will be baked goods and the usual full-of-surprises “grab bag.” Special music will be provided and a tea table for the guests. party Saturday 26 October from 5:30 to 10:30 p. m.
