Perfect Circle Co. Holds Annual Meeting More than seventy-five employees of the Perfect Circle Co. of Hagerstown, Indiana, attended the annual convention at the South Shore Hotel last week. Representatives from all over Whe United States, two from Canada and one from England were flown here as guests of the company and the several Teeter families who head the organization. For many years, this convention for buyers and officials of the company, has been held at the South Shore Inn. Arriving pVednesday, the group was taken by chartered buses to the Memorial Day races at Indianapolis, returning to the lake for the remainer of the week end. The Teeter families of Hagerstown have been summer residents of the south shore on Lake Wawasee for a number of years.

Large Crowd Attends Barbecue At Webster Approximately 500 people enjoyed the chicken barbecue at North Webster Saturday evening. Inclement weather was a drawback, however those wh® attended were satisfactorily rewarded for their effort. Sponsored by the North Webster Band Boosters Club, the barbecue was very well received and the club is making plans for another one sometime later this summer. B Club Notes ART CLUB Mrs. W. E. Long entertained members of the Arts and Crafts Club Monday evening at dinner. Afterwards the ladies made summer sports hats under Mrs. Long’s direction. Mrs. Bessie Aikens of Goshen was a guest. The next meeting will be at home of Mrs. Georgia Miller 17 June.

Ann Hilburt and Tom Kroh Married In Church Ceremony

Miss Mildred Ann Hilburt became the bride of Thomas J. Kroh in a lovely church wedding Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 at the Methodist Church. The Rev. Noble Greene performed the double-ring ceremony before the altar beautifully decorated with palms, red roses and candlebra. The bride’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Embry G. Hilburt of Johnson Hotel, Wawasee, and Mr. Kroh is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Kroh, Syracuse. Miss Suzanne Kleinknight presented an organ prelude including Moonlight Sonata, Claire de Lune and Liebestrom. She accompanied Mrs. Fred Clark who sang “With This Ring” and “I Bring You Roses,” preceding the traditional wedding music. Given in marriage by her father, the bride was dressed in a gown of white swiss embroidered organdy over taffeta. The molded bodice featured a sabrina neckline and short sleeves. The bouffant triple tiered skirt with deep peplum was floor length. Her finger-tip veil of French imported illusion was held by a double coronet of scalloped lace and pearls and she carried a bridal spray of red roses. Mrs. Charles M. Gallienne of Montreal, Canada, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. She was dressed in a gown of pastel green organdie over taffeta and wore a white picture hat trimmed in pastel green. Her accessories were white and she carried a white parasol filled with roses. Mrs. Edgar Gray of Cleveland, sister of the bride, Miss Jane Kroh, sister of the groom, and Mis s Gretchen Sigmund of Columbus, were bridesmaids. They were dressed, respectively, in pastel shades of blue, yellow, and pink organdy over taffeta with white accessories and carried white parasols filled with roses. Miss Linda Galliene, niece of the bride, was flower bearer. She was dressed in white organdy. Master Charles Kroh of Fort Wayne, nephew of the groom, dressed in white coat and blue trousers, was ring bearer. Lt. John Kroh of Jacksonville, Florida, was best man for his brother. Ushers were Charles F. Kroh, brother of the groom, and fraternity brothers Stanley Wood of St. Louis and Thomas Freeling of New York. The bride’s mother chose white lace over blue taffeta for her gown. The groom’s mother was dressed in gray with white accessories. They wore corsages of pink roses. Chiefs Lose Opening Game To Columbia City Syracuse Chiefs, the junior legion baseball team, lost their first game of the season to Columbia City Monday night by a score of 6 to 1. The Chiefs were only outhit 5 to 4, but several costly errors helped beat them. It was a 1 to 0 game going into the fifth inning when Columbia City came up with three runs on only two hits. Hotel for the 200 guests. Roses decorated the dining room and a three-tiered cake graced the buffet table. For going away the bride wore an ensemble of beige and green printed polished cotton sheath dress with coconut cotton coat and white accessories. She wore a corsage of red roses. After a wedding trip the couple will be at home for the summer at West Lafayette where the groom will be attending summer school. The bride is a graduate of Syracuse High School, class of 1954, and attended Purdue University for two years. The groom graduated from high school here in 1953 and is now completing his work at Purdue. He is a member of Delta Upsilon fraternity.

Local Girl Graduates From Purdue University Carol J. Baumgartner Wright was among the 2,724 candidates who received degrees at Purdue University’s annual commencement Sunday 2 June at Lafayette, Indiana. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Baumgartner, parents of Mrs. Wright, and her sisters and brothers. Nancy, Dean and Jerry, attended the graduation services at which Mrs. Wright received the Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy. Sp/3 Philip A. Wright, her husband, and Mr. and Mrs. Harter Wright of Nappanee, also attended the commencement. Sp/3 and Mrs. Wright spent a week at the Wright Cottage on Syracuse Lake apd left Tuesday for Fort Devens, Massachusetts where he is stationed.
