Club Notes INTERMEDIATE MOTHERS CLUB The latest fashions in hair styling were demonstrated for members of the Intermediate Mothers Club as they met Monday night 18 February at the home of Mrs. Noble Greene. Mrs. Nelson Auer and Mrs. Harold Kline presented several lovely hair creations and showed the methods used in setting and combing out the curls. Models were Mrs. Max Ganshorn, Mrs. Delbert Brown, Mrs. Harold Arnold and Mrs. William T. Jones, Jr. It was decided during the business meeting to have the annual “Blue Bird” party on 11 April at the scout cabin. Plans for the Spring party of the combined mothers clubs, to be held in May, were also discussed. Mrs. Bud Cripe is general chairman of that event. Refreshments cleverly planned in the traditional patriotic colors were served from a beautifully decorated buffet table, with a lovely center piece of tall, tapered red, white and blue candles, surrounded by gorgeous white Lilies. Delicious cherry pie decorated with a tiny blue pastry hatchet, coffee and nuts were served. Mrs. Maurice Lung presided at ■the coffee service, with Mrs. Ray Buhrt also assisting Mrs. Noble Greene. The next meeting will be on 4 March at the home of Mrs. Bud Cripe. GOOD WILL HOME EC CLUB The Goodwill Home Economics Club met in the home of Mrs. Delbert Brown of Syracuse, with 30 members and two guests presents Mrs. Emma Mabie gave a very interesting report on the life of George Washington for our meditation. The lesson for this month was on Food Marketing and was given by Mrs. John Shock and Mrs. Elmer Baugher. A number of .pointers on the kinds and the purchasing of various cuts of meats were told. Each one present took a pretty wrapped gift and a game was played in exchanging them. The Ways and Means Committee reported on several projects this year to increase our treasury. Hostesses were Mrs. Blanche Kline, Mrs. Paul Brewer and Mrs. Elmer Baugher, who served dainty refreshments in keeping of St. Valentine’s Day. Everyone reported having a good time and the meeting came to a climax with distribution of Valentines from secret pals. WOMEN’S SOCIETY OF WORLD SERVICE The Women’s Society of World Service of the Calvary E-U.B. Church will meet Thursday 28 February- at the home of Mrs. Roy Wilkerson for a Work Day beginning at 9:30 a. m. There will bej a carry-in dinner.
