Trojans Triumph Over Larwill, 56 To 45 “North Webster Trojans played a strong game all the way when they met Larwill Friday night on their home floor. Larwill led by one point at the half, but the Trojans jumped ahead in the second half and maintained a steady lead to the finish. Mauzy came thru with 18 points, leading both teams in scoring. Wool of Larwill scored 14 points. Final score was Larwill4s, to North Webster’s 56. Scheduled to be played at Larwill, the game was changed to North Webster because of construction work being done at the Larwill gymnasium. Webster Scouts Honor Boy Scout Week Tues. North Webster Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts, with their parents, will have a carry-in supper on Tuesday night 26 February at the school cafeteria. The occasion will be in honor of Boy Scout Week which is an event of great interest each year. FIRE AT WEBSTER HOME CAUSES S3OO DAMAGE North Webster fire department extinguished a fire Monday noon at the Zora M. Brickley residence, located at Knapp Lake on R. 1, Cromwell. Webster Club Notes PYTHIAN SISTERS The North Webster Pythian Sisters voted to make donations to the Heart Fund and the Polio Fund. There were 16 members present at the K.P. Hall Monday night. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Ermal Vanator, assisted by Mrs. George Ramm. The tables were decorated with a Valentine motif and refreshments were in keeping with same. COMBINED CIRCLES CLUB Approximately 20 members were present at the Combined Circles Club meeting of the No. Webster Methodist Church, which was held Tuesday evening at the home of Mrs. Earl Teghtmeyer. Mrs. Anna Bower was in charge of the business session, in the absence of the president, Mrs. Leander Yoder, who is vacationing in Florida. Mrs. Leander Yoder In United States Service Returns to United States John J. Clutter, 19, fire controlman 3rd class on the navy destroyer USS T. E. Chandler, has returned to the U. S. from a six-months tour of duty off the coasts of Japan, China and Formosa. John’s boat docked at San Diego, California last Saturday and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Clutter of North Webster, are awaiting word of the exact date he will arrive home for a 30-day leave. ROBINS IN WEBSTER UNDAUNTED BY SNOW While sweeping snow from the front porch of her home Monday morning, Mrs. Orva Miller reports hearing a robin chirping happily somewhere in the near neighborhood. Mrs. Lester Plew, who resides next door to the Millers, was hanging a wash on the line, and she also heard the robin, although neither woman could locate it. Sounds like spring is just around the comer!
