Local News . . . Russell Warner celebrated his birthday Saturday evening at his home with twelve neighbors and friends as guests. A lunch was served during the latter part of the evening. Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Clark spent a few days last week in Milwaukee, Wis. where Mr. Clark attended a sales meeting of his company and Mrs. Clark visited friends and was guest of honor at a neighborhood party. Mrs. Ida Guy celebrated her 89th birthday Sunday at her home near Syracuse. LIONS START PLANS FOR SPRING CONCERT Committees have been appointed in the Lions Club to start planning for their spring concert. Since 1957 is the year for scheduling professional entertainers, the minstrel show by local talent is given every other year, the Lions are beginning now to line up entertainers in order to get the best that is available. Definie date for the concert will be announced Idter. Project Completed One of the projects completed by the Club is the lighted, outdoor basketball courts for the school. With the completion of construction and installation, the courts were officially turned over to the School and will be maintained by the School.
