Mermaid Parade To Be' Filmed For TV Area Mermaid Festival headquarters reports that arrangements have been made to film the Mer-; maid Parade, “Queen of Lakes’’, beauty contest and other festival events to be held in North Webster, June 25-30, and that \ hour of the film may be I viewed over WLBC-TV, Munciej on Wednesday 4th July from 9:30 P. M. to 10:00 P. M.; over WKJG-TV, Ft. Wayne on Saturday 7 July from 4:00 to 4:30 P. M.; and over WINT-TV Waterloo on Sunday 8 July from 4:00 toi 4:30 P. M. The film will also be available to show during the next 12 months at various lion clubs in 1 Indiana; at the 1957 Mermaid Ball, and at other public functions. In addition, festival headquarters report that most stations in the area will show film highlights of the parade and queen contest on their telecast news programs on Saturday 30 June and Sunday 1 July. WRSW radio stations of Warsaw will broadcast the Mermaid Parade from 7:30 to 8:00 P. M. on Friday 29 June direct from the parade route in North Webster, and will broadcast the “Queen of Lakes” contest from 9:30 to 10:00 P. M. on Friday 29 June direct from the Mermaid Festival grounds. WKJG radio station of Ft. Wayne will make a tape recording and will broadcast direct from their Ft. Wayne studio following the parade on Friday evening 29 June. Festival officials report that Ralph Boice, proprietor of the Boice theatre of Warsaw will lilm and develop the official Mermaid Festival film. On The Fairways WAWASEE LADIES Tuesday’s game at the Wawasee Golf Club was Blind Bogey with Minora and Mary Reagon winners in the 18-hole play and Mrs. Betty Tobin for 9 holes. First team play of the Round Robin will be played at the South Shore Golf Club Monday 2 July. Officers this year for the Wawasee Ladies club are Mrs. Thelma Hattersley, president, Mrs. Marian Davidson, Vice-presi-dent. and Mrs. Mary Belle Sharp, secretary-treasurer. County Social Security Office Adds New Hours Jack Kimpel, Social Security representative, will extend his hours in Warsaw according to Herbert O. Bultemeier, district manager, of the Elkhart Office. Effective 3 July the hours will be 10:00 a. m. to 12:00 noon as well as 1:00 p. m. to 3:00 p. m. in the old Board of Education room on the third floor of the Kosciusko County Court House. Bultemeier explained the additional service is necessitated by an increasing volume of traffic, due mostly to the recent coverage of farmers under Social Security. He also advised that residents of the area may call at the district office in Elkhart Monday thru Friday from 8:45 a. m. to 4:45 p. m. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Jensen and children, Karen and Michael, spent Sunday afternoon and evening with Mr. Jensen’s mother, Mrs. Ida Hibschman.
