a Philip J. Hanis REPUBLICAN For Re-Election As PROSECUTING ATTORNEY If Re-elected I will continue — FULL TIME SERVICE TO THE ENTIRE COUNTY ... KEEPING MY OFFICE OPEN TO EVERYONE .. . CO-OP-ERATION WITH ALL POLICE and JUDICIAL OFFICERS, INCLUDING JUSTICES OF PEACE and TOWN MARSHALS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTY ... DILIGENCE IN ALL PROSECUTIONS, WITHOUT PREJUDICE OR FAVOR TO ANYONE ... RESPECTING AND PROTECTING THE RIGHTS OF EVERYONE WITHOUT DISCRIMINATION. I HAVE TAKEN AN ACTIVE INTEREST IN OUR GOOD COMMUNITY AS — A family man, church member, veteran of World War II and member of American Legion, and by doing my part in all worthy community and charitable activities. I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT YOU VOTERS WILL BE MISLED BY THE DISTORTIONS AND SLURS OF MY DEMOCRAT OPPONENT concerning the costs of operating the Prosecutor’s office — whoever is elected will receive the same salary since I receive the minimum . . . everyone knows that any farm, business or public office has operating expenses if it is to be productive. For my democrat opponent to say he will have no operating expenses can be only to mislead the votersor means that he would not make the office function. I do not believe in misleading the public to obtain votes. There must be operating expenses if the Prosecutor’s office is to function, but fortunately such expenses come from the Prosecutor’s activities and not from taxes — they are collected from defendants in criminal cases. I HAVE DONE MY BEST TO FAITHFULLY SERVE THE PUBLIC ON A FULL TIME BASIS DURING MY FIRST TERM AS PROSECUTOR, AND WILL CQNTINUE TO DO SO IF RE-ELECTED. » PHILIP J. HARRIS
