, Few readers of the Journal, including the owner, had difficulty in identifying Hat week’s mystery farm. It belongs to Gerald E. Murray, and a host of readers called to verify the fact. Mrs. Murray formerly worked as a registered dental assistant, and has lived in this area most of her Ufa. Mr. Murray was born in LaGrange county, and was formerly employed with the American 1 Steamship company on the Great 1 Lakes prior to purchase of the farm. The couple have one child, a daughter. Jane, three years old.

Hoy provided a festive setting for the Wednesday Afternoon Club’s party-meeting enjoyed by sixteen members and one guest, Mrs. Alice Evans, on Dec. 16. In the absence of Mrs. James Kirkwood, president, Mrs. James Stucky presided at the brief business meeting which preceded the program presented by Mrs. P. R. Sprague and Mrs. Wales Macy. O. Henry’s seasonably appealing narrative, "The Gift Os The Magi.” was given by Mrs. Sprague and followed by Mrs. Macy's reading of the Christmas Story from the Book of Matthew. Mrs. Macy also provided the members with a succinct commentary on "The Real Significance of Christmas.” The unexpected appearance of Santa Claus, who distributed small gifts to all present, created considerable merriment and afforded a pleasant prelude to the highlight of the afternoon—partaking of an array of delectable confections and tea which were served by the hostess. Hex School News We had our Christmas program Tuesday night and it turned out very successfully. The Solomon's Creek church will have their program Thursday night. We started to cook hot lunches last Monday for the children.

W. S. C. S. MEETING “A Thought Os Christmas” was the title of a playlet given Thursday at the general meeting of the W. S. C. S. at the Methodist church by Mrs. Orval Carr, Mrs. Clair Dreher, Mrs. Mary Hoy and Mrs. Noble Green. Mrs. Dreher sang and played appropriately for the program. A Christmas tree, nativity scene, and other beautiful decor was enjoyed as was also the refreshments by Circle 4 as hostess. The evening was spent in a variety of entertainment planned by the hosts. The party enjoyed carol singing with Mrs. Rherer accompanying them on the piano. Refreshments were served buffet style.
