able to hold water. We hope our mothers enjoy them. For our fathers we made miniature calendars mounted on felt and silver stars. We learned to cut the five-pointed stars with a single snip of a scissors. We also wove book-markers from yarn for gifts. The gifts were wrapped in pafeer that we had handblocked after making the block print on a potato. This week we also learned about Christmas customs in various parts of the world. We know how to say Merry Christmas in nine languages. We talked about carols that come from other countries. Mrs. Kowallik aang “Silent Night” for us, in German. We wish to thank the Wednesday Afternoon Club for their program for us. We especially enjoyed listening to the story of "The Small One.” — Mrs. Kowallik.
