Mumps Plague Grade Children
One of the many diseases associated with childhood—mumps — took over as the main subject of conversation in the local system this past week. The exact number of students who have succumbed to the malady is not known, however, the majority of the lower grades have reported from two to five pupils absent due to the disease. To date, there havfe been no reports of any serious effects from the disease among the children. Doctors caution parents to keep their child quiet and preferably in bed. They point out that there is little that can be done to alleviate the sickness aside from
