lkM»ter Club The Syracuse High Booster Club met officially for the first lime Weduesday, October 2S. Mr. Stotts was in charge. The meeting began with the election of officers. The results were; Pres.. Suzanne Kleinknjght; vice-pros., Dixie Dorsey; secretary-treasurer, Jane Kroh; reporter. Phyllis George. Ah this brings them to the practice session. They began their yells caJmly like ladies and gentlemen. But as the session neared its climax they nearly took the roof oft Study Hall No. 2. Mr. Lougenecker still feels — that he can yell louder than adl ot them put together. Believe me they're out to prove that he's wrong! — Phyllis George. Junior Party Friday night, October 23. the Juniors had a Halloween masquerade party. There were hoboes. *an organ grinder, old ladies and men ,a clown, hlllbillys. wolf girl. KAKgedy Ann, tough gay and many more. Everyone was guessed except for a queer little old lady with boy s shoes on. She finally turned out to be Arliss Hamman Prizes were gjven to several boys and girls. The entertainment led by Patti Anglemyer proved to be very amusing. The boys held the girls on their laps while the girls drank milk from baby bottles. A number of relays followed. Then the Juniors had refreshments of cider. barbecues, potato chips .an 1 popcorn baUs. The sponsors drank so much cider the Junjors were very glad 'hat the cider wasn't hard' All in all everyone had a swell time Thanks to the comsponsors nnd- ctam who conrnbuted towards • pgrty a lot of fun! Susan Darr, Janet 'Riley, and Jim Casky. Who's Who 1 Ediior of the annual, president of the Student Council, chairman of the committee for the Booster 1 Club; not to mention a member ' of Girls’ Chorus, also band reporter, and in the Junior and Se1 nior class plays. This busy student is none other than Miss Sandra Lee De Groit. Sandra. who is 5 feet, t>S , inches tall, weighs lld pounds . and has blonde hair and blue eyes, made her first appearance seventeen years ago. on Aug. 20, in Albjon. Indiana. t When she was eleven. Sandra > moved to Kimmell where she at- ■ tended grade school, and Cromi well High. In the middle of her i sophomore year she moved to > Syracuse. Here we’w learned that her . favorite subject is English, and fried chicken with mashed pota- , toes her favorite food. Her other favorites are “You B< loaf To Me” for her song, with Doris Day singing and Sammy Kaye’s orchestra. Her only pet peeve is “Never having a lesson." Sandra's ambition is to.be a nurse. So her plans after graduation are to attend the So. Bend Memorial hospi'a! for her training. The seniors know Sandra will succeed, and wish her the best of luck in the future. Program Held Last WMnesday the Gideons, a group of Christian businessmen from Warsaw, visited the school. The student body was led in song selected by these men. After all the talks were given, the new Testament was given to everybody desiring one. Students at the program ranged from the .fifth grade up thru the twelfth. — Ann Hiburt and Suzanne Kleinknight. Last week we had Halloween fun. Many of us helped Trick or Treat for the United Nations Children's Relief and some won prizes at the PTA Saturday night parade.
