CULVER STUDENT Enrolled at Culver Military Academy for the 60th academic year which got underway last week are Robert M. Baer and C. Richard Tuttle, both from 'Syracuse. They are sons of Melvin H. Baer, R. R. 3, and Mrs. Carl R. Tuttle. R. R. 'l, respectively. Founded by Henry Harrison Culver. the Internationally known college preparatory school opened for its first term pn September 25, 1894. Forty-tiro cadets comprised the first corps, as compared with a capacity enrollment for the 1953**64 academic year of 740 cadets.

WINS CONTEST Mr. Ed Kleinkaight. local Chevrolet dealer, has become the recipient of a three-day vacation jaunt to Rhinelander, Wise., on the basis of his having placed first and fourth in the Chevrolet Champions Campaign which was conducted during the months of May and June in the Indianapolis zone area. The contestants were judged on the basis of their total gross business during the two month period. Mr. Kleinknight's standing of first and fourth were earned on the basis of his businesses in Milford and Syracuse. 179 dealers took part In the contest. her interesting and humorous erperiences. Refreshments were served by the hostess. HEX GRANGE NEWS The Hex Grange met Tuesday evening with 33 members present* Master Samuel Bushong presided. Mrs, Clyde Neff, lecturer, reported on a trip to the Bashor orphanage near Goshen to which she had taken 18 bath towels and wash cloths to match that had been donated by the Hex Grange. Plans were begun for the annual fair which will be held Nov. 23. The members having July and August birthdays had charge of the program and served refreshment*. The next meeting, will be held Oct. 6 at 7:30 P.m. Last Saturday evening the Hex Grange was host to the Elkhart IaPETITE SHOPPE On FRIDAY.
