spending two weeks in their cottage. Rev. Mr. Erny is improving from a recent illness. Lester Modistett, of So. Bend, has started construction on his permanent home here. We all wish him well. Rev. Willard Parks, of South Bend, has his home almost.completed. Mrs. Parks and son are assisting him with the painting. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Owrleese spent several days recently with their daughter and family, at Massillon, Ohio.
Mrs. Emma Miller aid grandchildren, of Indianapclis, are spending a week here. Mr. and Mrs. George Cook, of Indianapolis, spent last week-end here with Mrs. Cook's mother, who is spending the summer in their cottage. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Hlnstorff and children, of Milwaukee, Wis., are their vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mis. O. R. Marshall. Mr. and. Mrs. Earl zunlck, of Indianapolis, are spending their vacation in their cottage here. They have their grai dchlldren, Steve and Judy, with t iem. Mr. and Mrs. J. E, Overholt are spending some time here. Mr. Overholt is recuperating from a recent illness. PAPAKEECHDE LAKE Mr. and Mrs. Leo Kowallik were hosts Sunday to Mrs. Kowallik’s brother, Lloyd Trump, of Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hartzler, of South Whitley, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Neal Rodgers, over the week-end. A rec§nt guest of the C. G. Etters was Mrs. Etter’s brother, Wayne Standerford, of Muncie. The Ira Furman log home is occupied by Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Freese, of Indianapolis. Mr. and Mrs. Freese were here (last year, and brought some friends this time, so they all could enjoy the lake. There were 68 present, one from San Diego, some from Chicago, Goshen and Syracuse. Mr. and Mrs. W. J. McCarthy, of Chicago, were at a Banning cottage (which they have had for 16 seasons) for a long week-end. The Mission Circle of the Church of God is meeting Thursday afternoon in the home of Mrs. Dial Pensinger. Mr. and Mrs. visited Sunday in the home of their son, Russell and family, near Warsaw.
