THANKSGIVING PARTY Mr. and Mrs. ,Wm. Mallon entertained at their home at a Thanksgiving dinner for the following guests, Mrs. Jerry Hamman, Lillian Hamman, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Brown, Lydia Mellinger and Lena Gants of Warsaw. The birthday anniversaries of Mrs. Brown and Mrs. Hamman and the wedding anniversaries of Mr. and Mrs. Brown and Mr. and Mrs. Mallon were celebrated with gifts exchanged, and a fine time enjoyed by all present. Newcomers' Club The regular meeting of the Newcomers Club was held in the home of Mrs. Fred JeWett. The business meeting was held and plans were made for a joint Christmas party with husbands and wives. The party will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Dudderar. Names were drawn for a Christmas exchange at the next regular meeting on December 12. Delicious refreshments were served by the hostess and the remainder of the evening was spent playing bridge.

With Susan Klink at the piano, the older Girl Scouts sang ‘Hello’ to the new ones coming in, Letitia Jones, Judy Jones, Lindy Lantz, Linda Bassett, Beverly Hatfield, Janet Lee Riley and Nancy Clark. The color guard was Mary Miner, Bea Bachman, Carol Hudson and Deanna Ditton, and the Allegiance to the Flag was given by all. The new Scouts gave the Laws and Slogan, “Do A Good Turn Daily”, and the motto, “Be Prepared”. Mrs. Gerold Kline, Girl Scout Leader, conducted the Court of Review, and awarded the badges. After other ceremonies, the goodbye Song was given.
P. T. A. Holds Interesting Meeting The P. T. A. met night, Nov. 20, at High School building with Mrb. C. G. Etter, vice-president, conducting the meeting. \ The Rev. R. a. Fenstermacher gave devotions. After a short business meting, Mrs. E. L. Fosbrink, program chairman, introduced the speaker of the evening. Mr. Owen Frey, director of the Audio Visual Aids Library for Kosciusko county. Mr. Frey showed various film strips, and explained each step in teaching with visual education, making the idea understandable, and interesting. It surely opens a whole new field of education.

Mr. Frey invited discussion and literally made a classroom of the P. T. A. A song, “We Thank Thee”, was given by a new school quartette by First Graders Jean Kuftip, Janet Pilcher, Sally Jo Fosbrlnk, and Melody Gustafson. Mrs. Willard Gustafson w'as their accompanist. Hostesses were Mrs. Joe Koble, Mrs. Ruby Worth, Mrs. Gilbert George, and Mrs. Ralph Hudson. Phyllis George poured. Are you pinched for money?
