Co. 25 YEARS AGO MAY 28, 1925 Mr. and Mrs. Roy Riddle celebrated their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary on May 26, in a quiet manner in their home here. Their daughter Kathleen of New Mexico, was here and helped them celebrate. Jack Frost vjsited us over Sunday. It is estimated the damage, in Kosciusko county will amount to $250,000. A light snow fell Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Eliza Tom, wife of George Tom, passed away May, 25. Mr. and Mrs. Knox Stetler spent, Sunday in Mishawaka, at the home of Mir. and Mrs. Dewey Granger. Mrs. Irvin Bailey and two children, of Sullivan, visited the last of the week, with Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Whistler, and other relatives in this city. A. L. Miller and S. C. Lepper, left on Friday by auto on a tour that took them, to Manistee, Mich. They made the trip from Cadillac to Syracuse, 246 miles, in a bit less than ten hours, on Sunday. Robert Strieby, the four year old son, of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Strieby, of Toledo, 0., passed away on Friday at his home of spinal meningitis. Those from here who attended the on Monday, were Mr. and Mrs. Anderson K. Strieby, Mrs. Henry O. Carlson, Miss Mabel Strieby and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Strieby. Mirs. J. W. Adrian, of Lorian, 0., is spending a few weeks here with her parents, Dr. and Mrs. B. F. Hoy. Mrs. H. E. Cory, of Kimmell, come on Sunday and visited until Monday in the home of her sister-in-law, Mrs. C. C. Crow. Bauer, from Elkhart, where and from there went to Warren, he spent several weeks in the Pa., where they spent the weekof another daughter. Mrs. Harry end with Mrs. Smith’s parents. May. Mrs. Stella Miles has returned Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Hire and to her own home, having spent daughter Brenda Kay. of Elkhart, the winter in the home of her son. visited with the former’s mother.
