They were Terry Musselman, Pat Connolly, Jerry Hapner, Freddie Hapner, and Buster Haitt, who, with the many parents present, made a group of about sixty-five. There were visitors from a Ligonier Cub Pack, Cubmaster Reed, and Committee Chairman, Jim Sprague. They expressed surprise at the many parents, and the activities of the Cub Scouts. This month’s theme, “Air Fun”, was carried out with amazing ingenuity, by each of the four Dens, having made a complete airport, and one Cub Scout had made an airplane, large enough to hold himself. Dien one gave the opening by answering Roll Call with their “wanted adult occupation,” some of which evoked amused amazement. Cub Master Larson introduced Ronald Kramer, Institutional Representative of the Sponsor, the ;B. and P. W. Club. Mr. Kramer made a brief announcement, concerning a check to the Cub Scout Treasurey, from the B. P. W.’s. Mr. Kramer also announced that the American Legion is buying an American Flag to present to the Pack. Den Three, gave an amusing “Aviator’s Relay Test, and Den Two gave poems, and explained their airport. Bob Insley presented Bobcat pins to the parents, to give to their Cubs, after which, the Cub Master told of next month’s theme, “come see us,” with back yard dens. Memorial Day Parade activities were planned, and another Cub and Parent affair was decided on, that of attending the Cub-O-Ree at Rice Field, Elkhart, on June third, Saturday afternoon and evening. Den Four gave the closing. GIRL SCOUT NOTES There will be no meeting this Saturday, May 27 th, but Girl Scouts are expected to be in the Memorial Day Parade. Those having uniforms, are requested to wear them. • On June third, Saturday, there will be a Girl Scout Exhibit, and Party for Parents. Badges will be awarded at that time.
