(28-2 t Intermediate Mother’s Club The Intermediate Mother’s club met, Monday evening in the home of Mrs. Robert Blrewster, with Mrs. Willard Gustdfson, Mrs. John Fisher, MTs. Walter Strader, Mrs. Stanley Peters and Mrs. Wm Rogers as co-hostesses. Mrs. H. O. Greene, of Goshen, spoke on her trip to South America a year ago, which she traveled 23,000 miles, by airplane. She spoke of the customs of the people, of the various countries and showed many pictures. She also exhibited her- collection of silver, rugs, and other articles from South America. Contest prizes were won, by Mrs. Homer Keck and Mrs. Gaylord Jones, Mrs. Wm Rogers won the sunshine plant. This was the last meeting, of the club year. A banquet will be held May 15 jointly with the Junior and Senior Mother’s Clubs.

Wawasee Lake News SOUTH SHORE — Mrs. C. C. Mlason, in the interests of the Country Club,» gave an opening party, last Saturday, at the South Shore Golf Club. One hundred and ten guests were at the buffet dinner and more came in the later evening. There were guests from Wawasee, Syracuse, Goshen, Bremen, Warsaw, Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, Pierceton, Elkhart, Nappanee, and Huntington. Mrs. Betty Dalton, returned last Friday from Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Mrs. Harold Adair of Ellwood, and Mrs. Carl King, of Fort Lauderdale, were recept guests of Mrs. Betty Dalton, and Mrs. Laucks Xanders. CABLE GROVE — A cousin of Mrs. Estelle Swartz, Mr. and Mrs. Ray W’ogoman, and Mary Ann, of Chicago, are here for ten day« in their new cottage, built, last fall. The Wogoman’s are enjoying the vacation from Chicago, but they are also working hard, to finish up their painting, laying linoleum and sanding floors. MORRISON ISLAND — The E. Lohmans, Alfred Borkenstines, and the A. C. Myers were at their cottages, last week-end. WACO — Elmer Bellman is a member of the Midway Stock Car Racing Association, which races at South Bend, Goshen and Ron-devouz-Sister Lakes. Last Sunday, the Assn., represented at Mt. Lawn, Newcastle. This Friday night, at Goshen Fair Grounds, there will be a Hot Rod Show and Inspection. The following Tuesday, May second, the Association will race at the South Bend Speedway, on Western Ave., for the first race of the season. Mr. Bellman is also assisting with the Micro-Midget racer set-up, at Wawasee Amusement Park. The Johnsons Hotel will open on Friday, May 12. __ Ike Klingaman celebrated his 90th birthday last week with just about all of his family, and many callers. Mrs. Klingaman had known of the coming visit of their daughter Cadda, but the balance of the Relatives came as a total surprise, as planned. They all brought “everything,” and fixed everything themselves, on Sunday, as it was harder to get everyone together, on the April 20th birthday. Some of them stayed overnight Saturday and all left Sunday afternoon. The “children” and their children were Mr .and Mrs. Jonathan Klingaman, Louisville; Mrs., Cadda Crawford, Gas City and her daughter, Mrs. Houten, Mr. Houten, and their two boys, Marion, Ind., and Mr. and Mrs. Herchell Klingaman, daughter, Betty Jean, Sister Lakes, Mich., the H. Ike was tired Sunday evening, but after all, a ninetieth birthday is not an every day affair, and everyone enjoyed the large family get-to-get-her, and pictures taken at the time, will be a lasting reminder of the occasion. iThe Rhue Hunnicutt’s home, is getting to be a sort of “Grand Hotel,” with business callers, amongst visiting relatives. T he Hunnicutts are (with help) readying all forces for an attempted opening soon, of their Wawasee Amusement Park. Fourteen girls of the “Spider” Troop of the Syracuse Girl Scouts, ages 11 to 13, enjoyed a Slumber Party at the home of Mrs. Hubert Anglemeyer, last Friday night. “Slumber” was the main idea, but, from various accounts, Slumber must have been a minor act.
