WOMEN S RELIEF CORPS The John C. Adams Women's Relief Corps, auxiliary of the | Grand Army of the Republic. No MB, met Friday evening Nov. 18. Following the business meeting. bingo was played. Later the bingo prizes were auctioned off. ! with Mrs. Nora Colwell as the ■ auctioneer. The proceeds went into a fund to pay for lights and oil at the hall. I The next meeting will be held | Dec. 2. All members are urged , to be present. Mrs. Blanche Fachbauch. of j Elkhart, patriotic instructor presented an altar cloth to the John 'C. Adams Corps, in memory of her father, who was a war veteran. Boyd Kehr, of Syracuse, drew a 1 to 5-year suspended term to •the state reformatory when he . pleaded guilty to two counts of i petit larceny. He was also assessed a $1 fine and costs. Kehr was alleged to have taken part in the i theft of used automobile batter- . les from a junk shop owned by Sam Swedarsky. of Syracuse last ; March. The first count charged him with taking three batteries on March 23. and the second count charged him with stealing 10 batteries on March 24. ROUND TABLE CLUB Mrs. G. L. Thanksgiving. Mr. and Mrs. Milo Kitson and family, left on Monday for Roanoke. Va., where they will spend Thanksgiving. They will also visit other Eastern points. S. L. Ketring will go to North Manchester, on Friday, to visit his daughter. Mrs. J. H. Miller. On Monday. Mr. Ketring accompanied by Mrs. Miller, will leave for Biloxi, Miss., where they will spend the winter or at least a portion of the winter. Later they may go to Florida. The Senior Class enjoyed a chicken dinner at the home of Ruth Blanchard. Monday night. Miss Hamman. Earl Auer and Paul Lantis were also invited. Thursday evening, the Ladies of the Round Table, held their annual Thanksgiving Tea at the ’ Sign of the Kettle. A Thanksgiving program was given by Miss Neva Meek. Mrs. R. N. McMichael. 'Miss Blanche Spragtfe, and Mrs. Ross Osborn. The program concluded, the members Went to the picture show, where they spent another hour seeing a good picture, with John Bowers, as the star.
