LOCAL NEWS Mts. Orval Carr and son. Jack, took her son. Stanley, to Chicago, Tuesday, where he entered North Western School of Dentistry. Mrs. Della R. Cook, of Garrett, and her guests, Mr. and Mrs. Howard North, of Annapolis, Aid., spent Wednesday in Syracuse. Mrs. North is Mrs. Cook’s niece. The school teachers and their wives or husbands, were entertained, last Friday evening at the high school building, with Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Peters, as host and hostess. A picnic supper was served after which “craxy bridge” was the feature of the evening’s entertainment. Mrs. V. V. Hammer and Bobby, of Sheridan, Ind., Mr. and Mrs. Robert Grimes, of Frankfort. Ind., were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Grimes. Mrs. Loren Eyer and Mrs. Dale Grimes were at Goshen, Sept. 20, to a Leaders Training Class, on “Health” given by Miss Christine Cobus. from State Board of Health. Robert Miller, aged 5, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lavon Miller, was taken to the Elkhart hospital Wednesday, suffering with polio. Burdette Main, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marlin Main, who is a polio patient in the Elkhart hospital, is improving.
