Roy Pinkerton and wife were Sunday afternoon guests of Edw. Hapner and wife of near Tippecanoe Lake. Paul Schermerhorne of near Leesburg, June and Betty Pinkerton. took the former’s sister, (Ethel Mae, to her home near Huntington, Sunday afternoon. Hugh Crowl and Junior Pinkerton were in Syracuse Sunday evening. Mrs. Dale Mock called at the Smith home last Tuesday afternoon. The play entitled “Harvest Abundant” will be given at New Salem next Sunday evening by the young peoples class. Every one is invited to attend. Ruth DeFries Sunday school class were dinner guests of Gerald Grovt and family, Sunday. Betty and June Pinkerton were guests of Noah Ensley and wife of near Leesburg, Sunday. Mrs. Roy Pinkerton is suffering with a very sore hand caused by a stick of wood falling on it. Mrs. Harrison Main and son, Marlin, spent the week-end at Wabash, Ind. They were called there by the sickness of Mrs. Main’s sister. (Dale Mock and wife attended service at Leesburg Sunday and was dinner guests of the latter’s parents, Everett Bishop and family. Amy Wingard called on Vada McClintic Monday forenoon. Minnie Shock, Laura Saidla and Alice Shock were callers Thursday on Anna Crow. Louise Sensibaugh was a weekend guest in the Harry Wingard home.

The Quarterly Conference of the Indian Village Circuit was held at Zion Chapel and was conducted by the Elder, Mr. C. F. Mansburger of Hudson. Rev. Robert Hersha, wife and children, Richard and Phyllis, were Tuesday evening supper guests of Eston Clayton’s. Mr. Dallas Grindel and family of Chicago were week-end guests of the Harry Chiddisters. Mrs. Mosciline Deaton and mother, Mrs. Belle Strieby, attended tne muck crop show at Nappanee, last Wednesday. Sherman Deaton and Mrs. Belle Strieby called on Mrs. Jacob Deaton at Warsaw last Tuesday. Little Harry Earl Myles is recovering from a recent minor open tiou which was performed at the McDonald hospital, Warsaw. Mr. Dannie Wagner of Chicogo, guest of the Frederick Claytons, suffered a painful injury while hunting on the Hess farm, Saturday morning. Running to pick up a pheasant he had killed, he fell and injured his right elbow, requiring the services of a physician. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Clayton and son, David, spent Thursday with the Russell Hinderers. Miss Maxine Spry is ill with tonsilitis. Mrs. Ida Guy spent last Sunday with her sister, Mrs. Retta Clayton. Ammon Rowe and son, Joe, of Elkhart, called on Eston Clayton’s Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Dewart spent Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Mathews.
