there will be inspiring congregational singing and a sermon. All who will are cordially invited to meet with our church to make it an outstanding, uplifting night. All parishoners of the church will please remember to attend the Autumn Council, 8:00 o’clock, Tuesday evening, September 5. An especially good representation of the membership is needed for the election of church and Sunday school officers to serve the oncoming year. There is other very important business, besides. Churchmen will be in to share • this council, representing the District Mission and Ministerial Boards. ROUND TABLE CLUB OPENS YEAR WITH DINNER PARTY The ladies of the Round Table Club will open their club year with a dinner party September 11th at the home of Mrs. A. L. Miller. At this meeting the club will have the reading of the bylaws. The following is the general outline of programs for the coming year. September 25th —Hostess, Mrs. Hoopingarner. Mrs. Osborn will give the story of Helen Keller. Mrs. Barnhart will talk on industrial aid for the blind. October 9th—Hostess, Mrs. Osborn. Mrs. Olive Bushong .will have as her subject for the evening, “Medical Research and Discovery in Surgery.” October 23rd — Hostess, Mrs. Laughlin. A book review by Mrs. Hess, subject to be announced later. November 6th — Hostess, Mrs. Byers. Mrs. Byers will also give the art lesson at this meeting. November 20th — Hostess, Mrs* Disher. Mrs. Geyer and Mrs. Disher will have the Thanksgiving menu which will consist of turkey, cranberries, oysters, and Whittier’s poem pumpkin pie. December 4th — Hostess, Mrs.

The study of our sister country, South America, will be the general subject of this meeting, as well as several to follow. Mrs. Connolly will give as her lesson, “Brazil, The Land of Coffee; The Empire; The Republic.” February 12th — Hostess, Mrs. Connolly. Mrs. Dunn will give the lesson on Bolivia. — “Lapaz, Ihe Sunken City.” February 26th — Hostess, Mrs. Blocker. PICNIC ENJOYED AT COUNTY INFIRMARY The All-County County Home picnic, sponsored by superintendent and matron, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Griswold on Tuesday, was very well attended and enjoyed by those who were priviledged to be present. The people began to assemble about fen o’clock and by the noon hour the crowd was pretty well on the ground. The entertainment feature was inauguarated by a pleasing concert by the Silver Lake high school band. Following the initial musical numbers, the inmates of the home were assembled for the noon meal and soon after, the general crowd from all parts of the county enjoyed a most appetizing and satisfying pot-luck dinner. The afternoon program began with a number of song selections led by Mr. Edward Clink. This was followed by prayer by Rev. George Deaton of Silver Lake. Mr. Clifford Wolford of Pittsburgh sang two fitting selections to the delight of

Hobart Clayton of Atwood gave some very fitting words of greeting and appreciation. The program closed with the singing of “God Be With You ’till We Meet Again,” and prayer by Rev. Victor Yeager of Syracuse.
