HARRY BRUCE HULL EXPIRES AT COTTAGE ON WEBSTER LAKE Had Been In Ailing Health the Past Two Years Losing a two-year fight for life, Harry Bruce Hull, 48-year-old resident of this place, died at noon Sunday at his Webster Lake cottage of embolism of the heart. The deceased had been a resident of North Webster for the past four years. He was formerly salesmanager for a Fort Wayne garage where he had resided for a period of 23 years. He was born August 31, 1890, the son of Mary E. and Robert P. Hull, in Ligonier, where he spent his boyhood. The deceased was a member ‘of the Methodist church of North Webster. Surviving relatives are his widow, Mrs. Nell Hull his mother, Mrs. Mary Hull, Richmond, one brother, E. W. Hull, Richmond, one daughter, Mrs. George Bond, Fort Wayne, one son, Robert Hull, Fort Wayne, and one grandchild, Peter Marter Bond, Fort Wayne. Funeral services were held in the North Webster Methodist church, at 10:30 o'clock Tuesday morning, witn the Rev. J. W. Gibson officiating. Interment was made in the Lindenwood cemetery, Fort Wayne. RECEIVED LARGE VOTE THROUGHOUT COUNTY Dr. Leslie A. Laird of Nortn Webster, is receiving congratulations from his friends on his election to the office of county coroner by a majority of over 4,000 votes. This will be the second term for Dr. Laird and speaks well for his efficiency and ccourtesy in the conducting of his official duties. John Ritcheson and Minnie Keehn left for Florida Tuesday. Ed Henwood is giving ripe tomatoes from his vines, to his friends. Tom Warner, of Detroit, Mich., speiit the week-end at his Mid-Lake St/ck farm. Smith and Phelps are putting new galvanized roof on Wm. H. Warner’s residence. True “Shamrock” Building for Eire NEW YORK —Eire’s time-honored shamrock provides the inspiration for the airy and graceful pavilion which the Irish Free State is erecting at the New York World’s Fair 1939. The main entrance is at the end of the stem, which encloses a hall 80 feet long. Three rounded bays form the leaves of the plant. May 17 of next year has been set aside as Eire Day at the Fair.

WEBSTER NEWS—FORMER RESIDENT EXPIRES AFTER BRIEF ILLNESS Mrs. Afelitssa L. Little, North ster. Dies at North _ Manchester. Mrs. Mellissa L. Little, 79, longtime resident of <North Webster, succumbed Monday morning at 8:30 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Lehman, in North Manchester, after an illness of two days. The deceased was born in North Webster March 25, 1859, the daughter of Isaac and Louisa Gerard. She lived in North Webster up until 15 years ago, at which time she went to North Manchester to live with her daughter. Surviving relatives include three daughters, Mrs. O. E. Line, of Norta Webster; Mrs. W. H. Knight, of Prescott Ariz., and Mrs. Charles Lehman, of North Manchester; two brothers, her twin, Orlando Gerard, of North Webster, and W. E. Gerard, of North Manchester; n*'te grandchildren; and four great-grand-children. Mr. Little preceded his wife in death forty years ago. Funeral services were held at the Church of God In North Webster Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clocx, with Rev. A, A. Duke, of Warsaw, officiating. Burial was in the Noith Webster cemetery. Mrs. Anna Gerard is very much improved. Phillip Bechtel reports John Kuhn no better. John Scott, of Wilmot, was tn town on business Tuesday. Lester Banning, of near Warsaw, is visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Ira Rothenbarger. David Walters and Arnold Culver have returned from a hunting trip in Canada. They report 16 inches of snow where they were. BUS FLEET OF 100 NEW YORK —Approximately 10 miles of bus roads have been constructed within the grounds of the New York World’s Fair 1939, and 100 buses will operate over them. Most points in the grounds will be within a few hundred feet of a bus stop.
