Junior Indies Aid Elects Officers The Junior Ladies Aid of the Evangelical church met on Tuesday evening in the home of Mrs. Melvin Rapp, with sixteen present. c. W. Howard was in South Bend Tuesday on business. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Gants called on friends in Ligonier, Friday. ,Mr. and Mrs. John Harley were guests of relatives in Leesburg, last Sunday. Ross Osborn left Sunday for a two weeks hunting trip in Northern Michigan. Dr. and Mrs. J. C. Hay, of Silver Lake, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. 0. G. Carr. Mrs. Wm. Pracht went to St. Charles, Illinois, last Monday, to attend the Garden Show. Mrs. Fletcher Marsh is ill with pneumonia at the home of her mother Mrs. Grant Skledgel. Mrs. Lilly Hoopingarner left on Tuesday for Tampa, Florida, where she will spend the winter. Miss Mary Alice Kitson, of South Bend, spent the week-end with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Levi Kitson. Mr. and Mrs. Clee Younce, of Elkhart, visited with his mother, Mrs. Sarah Younce, last Saturday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Miles and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Smith attended the automobile show last Sunday in Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Kitson, of Hastings. Michigan, apept the weekend with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Levi Kitson. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Gents went to Goshetn on Tuesday afternoon to vitit Mrs. W. W. Poyser, who is in the Goshen hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Holloway visited with their daughter Mrs. Dial Rogers in South Bend from Thursday until Sunday. Mrs. Roy Amos, of Edinburg, Ind., is visiting with her sister Mrs. Kenneth Harkless. While here she attended the Wedding Dress Parade. •Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kegg accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hire of Ligonier, to Indianapolis last Sunday and remained until Tuesday. Phyllis Miles accompanied her brother Pret Miles and sons George and Phillip, on Saturday to their home in Dayton, Ohio. She returned home on Sunday. Mr. Eugene Hoopingarner, of Chicago, left Monday night for Washington, D. C., where he will be employed as a lawyer-in the Federal Courts of Appeal. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ford and Mr. And Mrs. H. O. Harkless spent Satuiday and Sunday in Bloomington, as the guests of the former's son Jack. On Saturday they attended ..he Indiana and lowa football game. Mr. Bob Stoller and family, of Goshen, Ind., spent Sunday with the Emersons at the lake. After lunch they drove to No. Manchester to visit Jean Emerson, a student at the college there. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Stansbury had as their guests on Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Insley, of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Stansbury of Mishawaka, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Hoover of South Bend and Mr. and Mrs. Homer Bird and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Garfield Walker, or Indianapolis, spent the week-end with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Levi Kitson. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Sargent and daughter Hazel and Bill Bailey left for Florida Monday where they will spend the winter. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gingrich and daughter, who have been living at Lake Wawasee, have moved to South Bend for the winter. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Stiffler are spending a few weeks with their daughter Mrs. Ward Flowers and family at Niles, Michigan. Johnny Connolly, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Connolly, is sick with tonsilitis at the home of his .grandparents at North Judson. Richard Miller is in LaPorte, where he is employed with an advertising crew for the Lever Bros. SoaP Company of Chicago. Mr. Albert Reller spent last weekend in Ft. Wayne. Mrs. Keller has left the Lutheran hospital, and is at the home of her aunt, Mrs. Sims. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bushong visited with the Misses Violet and Vera O’Dell in Elkhart last Sunday. Miss Violet O’Dell injured her knee and is confined to her home* John Grieger made a business tJp to Chicago, Wednesday. He w a » accompanied home by Mrs. G. Lucille Osborn, who is attending school at Purdue and Voyle Osborn, who is attending school at Indiana University, spent the week-end with their parents Mr. and Mrs. Ross Osborn. Death of Small Child Word was received here by relatives of the death of Wilfred u. Stombaugh Jr., three weeks old son of Wilfred and Virginia Snobarger Stombaugh at their home in Carey, Ohio, on Nov. 9th. Mrs. Stombaugn was a former Syracuse girl.
