Sharpettes Syracuse plays Milford at Milford tonight. Milford beat Etna Green 41 to 20 last week. However, they wete defeated by Mentone in their first game. Leesburg has two young ladies dressed in white for their yell leaders. Leesburg really brought a crowd along; they must have been confident of victory. Hinderer opened the scoring in the first tears game. This made the second contest that Syracuse has led off and then been knocked down. Syracuse’s first team out shot the Leesburg five. Syracuse shot 48 and made 10, white Leesburg shot 41 and made 8. Leesburg made » out of 8 free shot*. There were only 10 fouls durian the entire game This is somewhat dttfterent than it was at Cromwell when there were SI fouls. The second team really" shows some defensive skill te the fourth quarter when they allowed; the 'Leesburg boys only one' shot «t tire basket.

Shorty Piper was greeted around the score bench with hearty handshakes before the game. Glad to see shorty back. Hummel’s 8 on Ms back was a little ragged. Must have been from the Cromwell scramble. The score keeper had quite a time keeping the correct score on the score board because Syracuse _ shot a couple ot times after the whistle blew. x Syracuse may have been beaten t by Leesburg in basketball, but at it least they beat Leesburg in baseg ball.

Leesburg has had plenty of hard games in the first two games, North Webster, 20, Leesburg 21; Syracuse 20, Leesburg 22. At the score bench Friday night, Ronald Sharp was admiring the Leesburg yell leaders so much that he got so far behind that he barely caught up. With the help of the humor editor, he managed , to get along. Os course, Lyman personal Interest in divertiirgJELohald’s attention.
